Went to the dentist this morning and all is well...my teeth are fab apparently! :D

So it's now time to get organised to go off again between houses, get settled and then take Belle to her first puppy lesson. Belle's first day at school...it's very exciting. But I'm also slightly terrified. Ha ha. I don't know why I'm so worried about it. Still, at least I'll have DH with me. :D

Just thought I'd let you all know how Belles first day at school went. When we got there Belle met a new friend outside called Buddy. He's an 11 week old staffie (so cute...and little). They did a lot of smelling of each other and tail wagging. After about 5 minutes they started a little rough housing...it was REALLY funny. Apparently Buddy lives with a chocolate lab and is used to it, which was just as well given she's about 4 times the size of him. Belle kept smacking him in the head with her paw...then he'd try and nibble her face. Was really cute to watch. After squashing him to the floor she'd put her head to the floor with her bum in the air so Buddy could have the upper hand for a bit.

Anyway, after about 10 minutes of this we decided we'd better go inside. So in we went to a class of about 5/6 other pups...some slightly older than others. When we went in Belle and Buddy were inseparable....so I think she has her first boyfriend.

We did lots of the basics, sit, down (both of which Belle is good at anyway and she did us proud). Although we had to stop her distracting Buddy when he was showing off for the class. She was the best lead walker...only one that wasn't all about jumping up. I was really proud - it's something I've worked on from day one though because she'll kill me when she's big if she's a jumper!! We also did recall and she was really good at that too...although Andy and I have just started trying that one outside anyway so we figured she'd be ok.

Her weak points were walking backwards....she just sat down after about 2 paces. Find the treat - she was really not interested in finding the treat...she tucked them in her mouth (eventually) and brought them back and spat them out for Buddy to eat in the end. And rolling over. But I've had a bit of a practice with her already this morning and she's got it - I think she was just a bit tired by this point. It was good though because she got to mix with loads of dogs and was so well behaved. She met loads of all shapes and sizes and different temperaments. She'd go over all waggy and sniffy, and then go back to Buddy for a wrestle. The both looked miserable at the end of the night when they had to part company....she cheered up after she had her tea though.

It clearly wiped her out though because at 8.30pm she took herself off to bed in her crate and we had to practically drag her outside for a wee before bed at MIDNIGHT!!! She then slept through until 7am!!! She's only really been up for a couple of hours (off and on) done a little more training and then gone back to bed in her crate! Ha ha ha. If that's not an advert for training I don't know what is. It's so quiet, it's brilliant!!

That's ok, I struggle with that as well :o.

Glad it went so well :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
