Two more months and we'll be down to 37K! :j I'm pleased we've reduced our daily interest by 16p since the start of this year. I'll be thrilled when we get it below £5 per day....could take a little while longer that though. OOOh I'll also be equally happy when our monthly payment actually pays off £300 off the mortgage rather than loosing so much on interest. Ah well...must keep plugging away. :D

I think my mortgage calculator is wrong as well. I've just noticed! It's not changed my interest rate back to the standard rate after my fixed rate deal runs out. If it was to show the correct rates that would mean I'd actually be paid up by April 2018!! :j

However, as interest rates are so variable (particularly looking forward to the future) I'm going to leave it as is. Then I'll get a nice surprise later on...hopefully! :D

Massive trauma. I have a job interview on Thursday but we are going on a school trip to the zoo. My desire to go on this trip due to the work I've put in is phenomenal!

It's lead me to question how much I do actually want to move schools. I applied for this job in March, but the successful candidate must have fallen through. So they re-advertised and this time I've been shortlisted. I'm so confused.

If I stay at my school I know I'm pretty much guaranteed to be 2nd in dept for a year (maternity cover). So I'm really not sure what to do. I think that could open more doors for me than a simple sideways move...if that makes sense.

Also gives me the option to "try before I buy" in terms of whether I want to be 2nd in Dept or not. I'm not sure it's the direction I particularly want to go in still.

    I'm so confused.

That's really difficult. Could you ring interview school and explain the trip and tell them they're already short-staffed or something? If you went for the interview it would probably help you decide if you did wnat to move or not. Where is the new school in relation to DH?

The new school is nowhere near DH...it's just closer to our actual house. So rather than a 60 mile round journey everyday I would just have a 6-7 mile round journey. It would save us a fortune in petrol and it's a "better" school.

DH said to tell them about the trip and see they would be willing to rearrange the interview...I know it's unlikely but it's the best I can do. We have been struggling to staff this trip as well...so that isn't a lie in the slightest.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I would call them and ask if you can rearrange the interview. Either staying or going would be good due to the possible promotion!
