Grrr! I made a 5 seed wholemeal loaf yesterday but the seeds didn't drop!! I most definitely had it on the 'raisin' setting. What a mess, when I lifted the lid to remove the loaf the seeds split everywhere......one more try and, if it happens again, it's going back to Argos!! I am NOT a happy bunny!:mad:Preemie hats 9 :j0

Mmmm, the loaf looks scrumptious. I haven't tried honey but I always use olive oil instead of butter.
JennyW, please can you tell me the title and author of the bread machine book you bought? I'd like to try some different cakes before I put the machine away, till I lose some of the weight I've added since buying it!!
I'd like a recommendation for a bread machine book please. I have looked at a few on Green Metropolis, but am not sure which one to go for. Any tips?
TIA

The plan today is to attempt a pizza base. So far my beloved BM has only had time to make the humble white with just two attempts at a wholemeal:o
There's a loaf in at the mo, so I'll have a look-see at the book & get meself sorted.

the dough for the pizza base is lovely - we haven't had shop pizza or delivery pizza since making my own. I also sprinkle some mixed herbs into the mixture.
Half-fat mozzarella and loads of veggies - yummy!0 -

A round Ham/ Pineapple/ Mushroom/ Tomato + yer basic C&T, with a cheese crust for both:drool: from one recipe. Orders for more of the same, but instead of sharing they want one each:eek: MrT OL Passata with Garlic & Herbs worked very well for the sauce & enough left over for the lasagne today.
The offspring are SSSSSOOOOOOOOO glad they gave me my Panny:DFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I bought a second hand panasonic breadmaker for £20-25. If it broke now I would be happy to spend £100 to replace it. Panasoinc bread makers work!
If your not fussy about it being new (they all look used after a couple of loaves) then try:
www.adtrader.co.uk SD206 model is normally cheaper as it's older but mine works perfectly.
ebay
Argos clearance shops - I have seen loads in our local one for £35-£50 depending upon model.Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -
Hiya,
I currently have a panasonic BM (not the newest fandangled one-but the really good one from a couple years ago-a sd-253) and I LOVE it
However, I tried making the ciabatta loaf from the recipe in the booklet, and although the bread was very tasty, it was nothing like any ciabatta I ever tasted before (was INCREDIBLY risen-almost to the top of the pan!)
So I was wondering if any of you OS'ers have a foolproof ciabatta recipe for the panny? I dont mind if it is a dough recipe-I do make focaccia rolls a lot, but I love italian food and have a craving for tomato bruchetta on lovely HM ciabatta
Looking forward to your expertise0
