ok im gonna do it !! im taking the plunge and buying a bread maker i want the pansaonic one but which model do i get ? and also whats the best place to buy it from ?
    thanyou

SD254 where it's cheapest at the moment. It's beenhoverring aroud £70 at Amazon lately. Try a comparison site to get the best deal.

Consider the SD255 if you want to make RYE bread or automate the addition of nuts/fruit (not important to me).

    Hi all

Just got my mums old panasonc sd206 breadmaker of her been to tescos got my stuff and my first loaf is now in the "oven" !! yipeeeeee (yes i have a boaring life lol)
Ive only used the recipe that came with the instrction book but hoping its ok it was
    1tsp yeast
    500g strong flour
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1 tbsp sugar
    25g butter
    2tbsp milk powder
    350ml water

This should make 1 large loaf hopfully , Just noticed though the little scachets of yeast i got ive nly used 1tsp and it had to be used within 48hrs !!! i wont use that so what should i do is it better to buy in the tins ?

Fasten up the yeast securely and bung it in the fridge. It'll be fine!

I've had excellent results on fast bake and use it most often.
maybe it's not quite such a high risen loaf one the wholemeal programme but still very good.
give it a go - you won't be disappointed.

I have found that the fast bake works better if you use a breadmix. Bread seems lighter somehow.
