ok im gonna do it !! im taking the plunge and buying a bread maker i want the pansaonic one but which model do i get ? and also whats the best place to buy it from ?
thanyou
SD254 where it's cheapest at the moment. It's beenhoverring aroud £70 at Amazon lately. Try a comparison site to get the best deal.
Consider the SD255 if you want to make RYE bread or automate the addition of nuts/fruit (not important to me).0 -
Hi all
Just got my mums old panasonc sd206 breadmaker of her been to tescos got my stuff and my first loaf is now in the "oven" !! yipeeeeee (yes i have a boaring life lol)
Ive only used the recipe that came with the instrction book but hoping its ok it was
1tsp yeast
500g strong flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
25g butter
2tbsp milk powder
350ml water
This should make 1 large loaf hopfully , Just noticed though the little scachets of yeast i got ive nly used 1tsp and it had to be used within 48hrs !!! i wont use that so what should i do is it better to buy in the tins ?
thankyou:j :j :j :j0 -
Fasten up the yeast securely and bung it in the fridge. It'll be fine!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

hi all
after a few sucsesful loafs i was wondering about trying the quick bake 1.5 hrs as waiting 4 hrs is a pain jst wonderd do u get the same resualts ?0 -
I've had excellent results on fast bake and use it most often.
maybe it's not quite such a high risen loaf one the wholemeal programme but still very good.
give it a go - you won't be disappointed.0 -
I too am interested. i to only do the long bake with my new panasonic as a couple of people posted they did not have such good success on the fast one.0

I have found that the fast bake works better if you use a breadmix. Bread seems lighter somehow.:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0
