  • I was actually confident enough of the outcome of my bread from Panny that I gave a loaf away without cutting the end off to have a look how it turned out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting adventurous and trying all the different recipes in the brochure - got a 50/50 wholemeal baking now - hopefully yet another yummy loaf!

I've got a batch of dough for making chelsea buns in at the moment. I didn't have any milk powder so just used half milk and half water.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I think I am going to have to invest in one.

I keep up with this thread! I did get the chance for the Amazon one as well but I thought no, another thing for the cupboard!! Silly me.

I can say its the only gadget that I've bought because of this board that actually gets used constantly.

Everybody raves about the slow cooker and mine sits in the cellar and gets used about once a month.

My money is on the Panny BM!
  • I am a new Panny convert. I had huge doubts about buying one at first, never beleiving that it would be good enough for sandwiches. We are now TOTAL converts and even my stubborn Hubby has agreed that he loves the taste of HM bread and the lovely smell of it cooking in the house.

My poor panny hardly ever stops, I kick out at least three loaves per day and also make pizza dough once a week for delicious HM pizzas.

I still have loads of things to try out with it, I really want to have a go at French bread and will try making those bread roll hedgehogs with my little boy someday soon.

Love it, Love it, Love it.

I've set mine going for a wholemeal loaf overnight; if this turns out okay I shall be very impressed indeed because normally mine are like bricks. DH liked the plain white and the cheese & onion mix I did last week, so it gets a thumbs up so far from both of us + my best friend.

Quick question - is it possible to buy the fast action yeast in a tub rather than sachets? The Allinson one I looked at was ordinary dried yeast which needs to be activated, and the sachets I have aren't really a suitable size for my flour weight.

it used to be available in a rectangular vacuum sealed pack about the size of one of those little orange tins of the ordinary dried stuff

last time I saw it, my local Co-op were selling it off half price, so it may have been discontinued

I'm sure someoone will be along soon who has more information, or who might have seen it more recently
