I got mine today and we have made the first loaf and are making another one as I type! the delay at the start confused me no end but I tried to ignore it for a bit and then we heard is squeaking whilst I presume it mixed the bread. I didnt realise you had to wait so long for it to cool down at the end either and was hopping around trying to get it to set.
LOVE IT! thanks everyone for their enthusiasm so far, it sealed my desire to get one.
regards

Did you bake it in the BM, or roll it out as sticks for the oven?
I made french sticks the other day, made the dough in the panny and rolled it out into sticks and cooked it in the oven and made garlic bread with it - delish! DH said if I hadn't told him he would never had known it wasn't "shop bought" - not sure if that's a compliment or not:rotfl:
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
I made egg free chelsea buns today with recipe from book but adapted the egg bit......also filled chelseas with stewed apple, sultanas, cinnamon and small amount of sugar and butter instead of usual ingredients...They taste delicious0

I have had my Panny 10 days now and have made white bread, seeded bread and loads of rolls for lunchboxes.
The results have been amazing both in taste and cost. For me one of the main benefits is that you know exactly what goes into your bread.Debt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019

I'm considering getting a bread maker, at the moment I hand make every once in a while, so I'm not sure I'd get proper use out of a maker.
And, Tescos had 1.5kg Wholemeal Doves flour for 60p, got myself a couple of bags, going to do a big batch of rolls today.0 -
Woohoo!! I've finally (after many years) managed to make a 100% wholemeal loaf in a bread machine.....the planets must be alignment or something
I used the seeded wholemeal recipe from the Panasonic book and it's turned out really well. Not as risen as a 50/50 loaf, but definitely not as sunken as my (numerous) previous efforts.
The only thing that was different was the sun shining through the window, directly at my Panny. Must have given it that extra boost...

I just left it on the machine to bake, did a lovely big loaf0 -
I tried the ciabatta recipe from the booklet yesterday and it was gorgeous, mmmmmh!
The kids love all the bread I have made so far, and so I love the Panny because all of a sudden I am a domestic goddess !!0 -
Just made my first raison bread and it is just as good if not better than shop bought. The texture is so soft and almost melts in the mouth. I also recommend the french loaf, the texture is also soft and keeps nice for a couple of days.0
