I just wanted you to know I tried the pizza dough recipe and tripled the ingredients and it made 3 large deep pan pizzas in one go!! and they were delicious.

Old age isn't bad when you consider the alternative.

Ooooo - I'm waiting to join the Panny club...

I've been wanting one for ages..... but could not justify it. My lovely mum gave me £30 for Christmas, and I got a bonus from work that I was not expecting... I was planning to be all sensible - but my darling wonderful husband said - no, get the breadmaker - you've been after it for ages...

Just waiting for it to arrive from Amazon - they reckon the end of next week....

  • Been looking at breadmakers for ages and I mean ages, but as a family of 6 and going through at least a loaf per day (packed lunches etc.) I am especially interested in the extra large Panasonic loaf but how much flour etc. would I need per loaf as I'm trying to price out the cost of such a loaf against the shop bought stuff

If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it

HI, I have a panny and I love it.

It has three loaf sizes. The smallest usues 400g flour, the middle one (called Large) is 500g, and the largest (extra large) is 600g.

We usually make the 500g loaf. I've found the bigger loaf just tends to be taller and therefore more difficult to cut.

    Hope that helps

have you any friends who own one ?as the manual has all the measures and recipes in perhaps you could try the manuals download site not sure of link.we have this one though and the bread comes out scrummy there are 4 of us and the loaf doesnt last long i normally end up making at least 2 a day,but it still works out cheaper once you have all the ingrediants in stock

You can download the manual herePanasonic manual.

But as has already been said on other threads, you cannot really compare BM and shop bread on price alone - I know you can buy bread cheaper that that you make yourself but it's not bread I would want to eat! If you compare it with a artisan, additive free loaf then yes, you will save money.

    Hi Jasmine,

There's nothing quite like making your own bread for the first time is there? :D

I've merged your thread into the main Panasonic breadmaker thread as it helps to keep all the recommendations together.
