Have had a quick catch up on the posts.

Pigpen Im a great believer in one never being too old. Suffice to say Im near retirement age and am often studying. Last year it was Life Coaching. This year it may be EFT the second level. GO FOR IT!

Pollybear Have a lovely weekend with your son.

Tiamia_d What a shock you must have got when the tree fell. Hope you have all recovered now.

    Kazmeister Belated birthday greetings.

    AnWsMum Thinking of you

Have vacumed right through and S&Sed. Been to see mum with her Mothers Day flowers and cards. Very weepy today and talking bout her mum and wanting to go home. Got my Mothers Day gifts yesterday. One of which was a mug. I decided to make a cup of tea in it this morning and go back to bed. I could hear faint music and couldnt think where it was coming from. Only to realise the mug was playing you are my sunshine. Im working tomorrow so hope you all have a lovely Mothers Day.

DH is running the hoover around upstairs. Just shows he does listen as i have only just said it needed doing when we were in the car.

Only cos he needs me to do some ironing and clothes sorting upstairs ready for the next stage of the grand master plan.

Just been out to B and Q and spent £125 on paint, and lightshades and stuff. How come DIY is so expensive? Best try and earn some more vouchers, as we got £10 off, and it all helps.

next few hours for me are ironing, and then i will be visiting my mum to deliver the card/flowers, and we will then be at home for a full day tomorrow to maximise what we can get done - hopefully paper stripping and polyfillering and prep work for painting then through the week.

that head lice talk is making me feel itchy, i am glad we have boys as then i can keep their hair short and comb through. I agree that you should look frequently. I make sure i wash DS's hair in tea tree shampoo at least once a week, and then have a quick look as often as i can. Easier when it is wet to be honest. It's worked for us so far, and he hasn't picked them up at nursery as yet. I am sure i have it to come when i least expect it though.
it is never all done is it.

Been out creating more of the kitchen garden. Moved the cold frame to make space for raspberries and got OH and DS1 to remove a huge shrub which was growing against the kitchen wall. Have also moved a few primroses and started digging over the first new veg bed - it is very clayey so hope that does not spoil my plans. Serena/Hex what do you think and you Mudbath you have a lottie don't you?

Had a fantastic morning. I have done
    WM x 5
    TD x 4
Kitchen - surfaces, tiles, moved BM to garage(make by hand now!), decluttered carp area
    Swept and mopped floor
Lounge - dusted, cleaned window sills, cleaned mirror, tv etc, swept and mopped floor.
Now about to put most of washing away.
If you look at it now doesn't look like anything has been done - kids!!!! Icecream dripped all over lounge floor, I wouldn't mind but they had it in bowls!!!!
I know I have mothers day pressies and cards for the following reasons
    1. DD2 showed me her card yesterday then hid it
    2. DD1 said I couldn't see my card as she was hiding it under her bed
    3. DH said he forgot to get my mum a card but he got me one and his mum
    and finally
    4. DH went out this morning and dd1 said she wasn't going to tell me what presents I had and when daddy gets home I'm going to hide them!!!
Bless, at least I've got something this year!
Have a good mothers day, I'm off in a mo for a long soak and to get ready to go see Elvis then Thai meal (yummy!) I have no clothes to wear mind. Have to go in my jeans, sure mil won't mind
Need to sort my life out! :T

I've just done tesco and it was horrendous! I think the world and his wife were nipping in to buy a bunch of flowers for their mothers and that's all. It took me five minutes to get round the car park and find a space - checkout was quick but then another 10 minutes to get out of the carpark:eek:

Saw a friend of DS's in there who works on the veg counter. He was replenishing the cut flower stock. He said he'd been doing nothing else all day - as fast as they could get the flowers out, they went again.

    I'm quite exhausted now...

oooo - that was me!!! totally forgot about mothers day and took DS in to buy a game so bought some lovely flowers too.

Have caught up with yesterday's chores and apart from clearing the garden of all the junk that's blown in over the past couple of days I think I'm up to date for one. Thanks for the inspiration everyone! x

Hello everyone, guessing you now know pigpen's keeping the golden duster for a while yet. I am sure it'll be fine :D So thanks pigpen for continuing to take care of everyone while I still have head up *rse syndrome.

boddy life coaching sounds very interesting, where did you study that? Lovely that the mug sings that, how sweet! Dss have Christmas ones that play tunes and they drive me insane :rotfl:

AnWsMum I'd push the stopper back in if I wasn't worried about breaking it, novelty like getting the stopper back out don't tend to keep them busy for long before they get bored. The hole was just too little to get my finger inside so DS1 had to try. I'd had pencils, pens, knives etc prodding trying to get the thing out. Hope everything went ok with MIL today.

Michelle, your DS definately sounds like he's getting better around the house, hope that stays that way, mine got better then worse, he's back to doing nothing! At least you're only paying to DIY Michelle, we have family who'd pay someone 10 times more to do it for them, my uncle went on holiday for 3 weeks paying someone to come in and completely redesign/decorate/plan the house. Personally even if I had the money I wouldn't be able to face spending it on what I could do myself.

    Dusty several Ebay calculators,
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=340742 quite a few on there. I use them to work out what selling something will cost. I do sometimes add a small amount into the postage price, call it petrol money to PO then I walk there.

embb tell the school to stick it if they aren't going to buy it. I remember my old school trying to introduce a new uniform just before I left, my Dad wrote to the LEA and all sorts complaining, needless to say they decided that years leavers didn't have to change what they used. Oh and my partner says exactly the same thing with regards to Mother's day but expects things on Father's day.

Will you all shhhhh about nitties! Making me scratch. I check the boys every time their hair is washed, they know the routine now :rotfl: I'll never forget the time the hair dresser found them, just a couple thankfully but sooooo embarrassing. I now doubel check them before they go there. I hate them having really short hair but it's kept quite short usually which is much easier, checking mine is a nightmare and I usually just lash the stuff on anyway.

Decided againt flowers for my Mam as she's hardly ever at home to enjoy them, gift vouchers I think will be best as she's on a diet and needing new clothes as she looses weight. Assignments, done the writing for one part, 3 to go and I haddn't got anything wrong :D stupid DP haddn't looked at the right bit, like I said to him worry about getting yours right first! Bread rolls :D my success of the day, they spread out a little less :D I made white ones which are edible (lovely in fact) and DS1 will eat them which has never happened before, he loved them! Damp ttowel been my lifesaver on making them soft. So confident with them that I have another batch proving now, conservatory = handy for rising stuff when it's sunny and warm in there :D never thought of using in there until today.

    This evenings list

Get write up for another part done
    Dry laundry off airers
    Put clean/dry laundry away
    Wet laundry onto airers
Measure DPs trousers for a zip as he's just broken one (where can I get cheap zips?)
Bake rolls once they have risen
Banking online, accounts book working out, see if I can pay some more bills today with what's left
Emails, sort through freecycle ones, ebay stuff etc
Find some recipes for tomorrows baking 'spiced fruit cake' and 'sultana scones' requests
    Empty dishwasher
    Refill dishwasher
    Tidy kitchen
[strike] Wipe sofas again because still sticky after DP spilt his cereal when he dozed off eating it, berk![/strike]

Lil_me It was a home study course with the Open College. I did it mostly just for my own interest in the subject. It led from me being a counsellor for a vol organisation. Through that I learned about a therapy that was solution based counselling. I then studied Life Coaching. I resigned from the counselling recently having been there 13 years. Still have contact with the organisation and have done some basic EFT stuff with them.

Going to do a bit flying before watching tv. I think the cat has dragged a hedge through the kitchen.
