Morning soappie - I think I'll do all the kids beds but it could be triple pegging time. Are you still putting maps on ebay?

    Morning lovelies!

    LG Congratulations!
Kaz ((((((((hugs)))))) and happy belated birthday wishes for yesterday, have a good time spending today.
Kimberley Flying is what we do, we're flyladies, supposedly we 'fly' round the house doing lots of stuff. :D

Got a spring clean today at work - 6 hours of cleaning other peoples filth -oh joy lol I've done nothing in my house, I delegated the kitchen to teenie yesterday cause I was working late so that was gleaming when I got in but other than that nada.

Got a phone call from teenies school yesterday morning asking if I can bring him some school shoes cause he's wearing trainers -errrr no! he's always worn black trainers (they look like shoes) and doesn't have shoes, but apparently he's got to have proper shoes now, he's leaving in 8 weeks time !!!!!! only now they decide to come funny

Littley was sent to school yesterday after being off for 3 days but got a phone call from her school saying to go and collect her cause she was poorly, well i was at work lol so managed to wake OH so he went for her, panicked for a while though.

MIL got littleys Mothers Day card and pressies on Thursday (she's got no patience) we did think she was working today though but isn't (she is tomorrow though) Michelle my MIL has always bought me gifts and card from littley cause she knows OH too well, when I mentioned it to OH when she was born all I got back was 'you're not MY mother' why would I be buying you presents- I mean how thick?

Anyway, I've waffled.....oh and moaned too reading back lol

Another brew in the offing then best get ready for work.
  • Hi there everyone,

Kaz - a belated Happy Birthday!

Tia - Glad you and your little people are ok - that sounds really freaky.

DustyKitten - I normally add 50p onto the postage cost to cover padded envelope/bag etc. If it is something that needs to be well packed I add £1. Sometimes if your postage is more realsitic than other sellers you get more bids - other times it makes no difference!

    AnW's mum - I'll have another new age moment - (+ vibes)

Taffy - thanks for your help - kitchen is a funny shape - there is currently a join of 20cm in a recessed area and one going into the utility room - but there is no lino under the cooker... kinda would like there to be because I hate seeing the subfloor! I was working on a 4m width :o I had hoped I could find a 5m somewhere.

Just trying to plan out the day DD1 has swimming this morning, DS missing his class so he can go to a party - trying to figure out if DD2 would be less upset at not going swimming or not going to a party... and then I need to figure out where on earth the second party of the day is... at least the weather has calmed down here a bit. Roll on Sunday night when there might be the possibility of relaxing!

Hope you all have a good day!

    Thank you Craftyscholar for these
    Gas Mark Celsius Fahrenheit
    1 140 275
    2 150 300
    3 160 325
    4 180 350
    5 190 375
    6 200 400
    7 220 425
    8 230 450

What are the two numbers? Like 140 275?

    Sorry Kimberly.
I didn't get back to the forum yesterday. (head full of cold & feeling grot)
The list started out in three neat columns - first row of numbers under 'Gas Mark'
Next row (140 etc) under 'Celsius' Last row (275 etc) under 'Fahrenheit'

    Morning back Dusty

Yes the maps are still going up and I'm about 300% in profit now and still have loads left :). I've also started putting up some other collectable stuff I have lying round and that's going well too. WRT ebay fees etc. I HATE it when people load the postage. With the maps, I charge a flat fee of £3.00 for postage. This covers the postage (generally £1.38 first class but can be £1.84 if they've bought more than one) and the cost of the tube (£0.80) I put it in to preserve it leaving me £0.82p for the brown paper the tube gets wrapped in etc. Of course, if they collect, then I don't charge the postage.

I've started putting money 'saved' from bulk buying offers at the supermarket and any that I draw down from Paypal into the savings area of my bank account. It's growing quite nicely. I should add it to my signature. In fact I will.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the hugs and wishes, am going to need them I suspect. Will be going this afternoon with Dad.

All the time now I have that fluttery stomach feeling, think it will be like this until next weekend now :( so I am going to need lots of laughs and the 'normality' :p of this thread to ease the tension. I shall be reading but not necessarily posting as much.

Glad you got the bag lil_me sorry it was such a grubby one, will keep an eye out for more ;)

Well it's swimming as normal for A this morning, then she is going to have a bell ringing lesson, mum and dad are teaching a new group of ringers and said A could have another go. From there will probably be lunch and then think we will nip up to the garden centre to get something for mum for tomorrow. They are in the process of totally changing their garden round so I know garden stuff will be useful.

Pigpen go for it, in my opinion you can never aim too high. If you limit your hopes then you limit your potential successes.

Michelle I will be in touch sometime after next week

    Happy belated birthday Kaz :D

MOJT sending hugs for you, look on it as a celebration rather than a sad occasion.

Dusty I set myself a spreadsheet up for ebay and listed everything in there to work out whether I had made any profit. If I remember later I will email you a copy. PM me your email address and REMIND me if I haven't done it by the end of the w/e :rotfl:

Well I had better get us all dressed and out the door to swimming lessons.

    See you later alligators

    Morning all

Hope the week goes OK for you AnW'sMum - well, as OK as it can.

Happy Belated Birthday wishes Kaz :)

Two loads of washing whizzing round on the line and drying really well. If the cat gets up I might put the throws in too, he looks so cosy I don't want to move him ;)

Not much else done. DH and DS are servicing his car and, as usual, it's not going well! I'm keeping out of the way.....

Pigpen - if you like the medical aspect of stuff why not think about a paramedic degree, long term its not as financially rewarding but I used to get a real buzz out of the job especially on blue light runs and miss it every day.

Cos I am one of those straaaaange folk that can't cope with dead things let alone dead people.. *most ashamed to admit that one* I can do blood, snot, faeces.. even vomit (usually) but not dead.. .. I can do dead birds and mice and fish.. but that's it!
