Thanks everyone, I usually spend all my weekend catching up on the housework, thanks to this thread I have achieved loads in the week and enjoyed today.
WM x3- DS's bedding x2, school shirts
TD x3 - oops trying not to use this
Sister and family visited this morning for coffee.
Went to local Wilko for cheap supplies branded floor cleaner on offer at 74p, saw this in Superdrug same size for £2.78.
Visited Mum armed with card and pressies.
Tidied all drawers in bedroom, couldn't find more than 6 things to fling. Either getting better at collecting clutter or worse at getting rid.
Called to renew my Car ins, scrapped the breakdown cover and paid in full rather than instalments at a cost of £30 credit, saving in total £105.
Wishing all you lovely mums a good day tomorrow.0 -
lil_me thank you for both bits of advice will tackle the sofa tomorow - its leather and fairly new so still getting used to it, re bisket found a receipe on that thread so will be trying that tomorrow morning.
pigpen - enjoy the pub.
dusty/serena - I also have clay soil and tend to put down some manure in the autumn and let the worms/rain take it into the soil by spring most has mixed in and it seems to make a difference. Once veggies have been planted I mulch it up and keep the plot well watered.
heading to bed, managed all my bits this evening so going to get a bit more of my book read.
night night.

Thank goodness for my list, I nearly left those rolls in the now cold conservatory all night :rotfl: oooooops!!! I'd closed the doors and everything.
brain on neutral!
Gutted, found we have a pile of cartidges and was hoping to swap them for Tesco points to help save for the holidays, then find out they aren't on the 'must be this type of cartridge' list, bah!
jjef some people use baby wipes but I tend to just use a damp cloth or leather cleaning wipes if I have got some for spot cleaning, I have a black leather in the sitting room, cream in the conservatory and to be honest I don't know what's worse, the black one seems to show up more muck!
serena great news for your Mam, that is brilliant, well done to your sister for not backing down as most would.
pigpen have fun!!
Hmmm got me wondering, DP has pit stop places usually that he uses for work, but calls me to ask what time Tesco closes because he needs the loo, he doesn't usually go there. Wonder if that has anything to do with him mentioning 'Oh it's Mother's Day tomorrow' on the phone conversation before that, I might get something (from Tesco) for Mother's Day, maybe even a card to add to the one DS1s made meor he might just go to the loo and not bother as usual :rotfl:
Anways rolls are now in, more studying done but don't feel much further forward, pants! Deadline for me to post it is Monday so have only got tonight and tomorrow. Will have another go in a mo before bed time. One day I might be more organised...........

Evening
another no flying day - well maybe not I empty everything from the fridge and scrubbed it clean before refilling it and have sorted the washing and got the first load on. Did a circuit of the town and sorted DS with school shoes and trousers, DD and FS with claires goody bags and OH with jeans and t shirts but nothing for me! That was a four hour round trip so by the time I'd cleaned fridge and then put chicken and ham joint in to roast it was tea time, which I still havent finished clearing away and I am getting no help from OH or DS who are both sat on their butts.
Pigpen, if michelle hadnt burst your bubble I would, as we always used to have to call in the GP's to certify a deceased, and as for the blood, vomit and worse digestive contents, you will see the lot when training as a Dr. The time spent in hospitals and A&E is huge :rotfl: . My techinician training (which I know is a much lower level job, and achievable for me at 38) was 8 weeks plus 3 weeks driving course and 1 year as a student "on the job". Very few areas now take on student techs and take student paras via the uni route.
Big hugs for AnW'smum and anyone else who needs one.
Plan tonight - skip watching Bourne supremacy and go finish kitchen then up early hoover through the house and continue with washing etc before lunch out with mum/dad and big bro.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Good luck luby, tick tock tick tock!! (I don't do ironing unless I seriously have to
)
kaz, please stop saying you have done nothing when you haveespecially when it's the fridge, one of mines ewwwwy! You could always remove/tip upside down whatever OH and DS are sitting on, then they could help. I offered to tip my son off the sofa today when he refused to take his glass out. Oh yes, I would have!

:rotfl: They're both bigger than me and I know I'd lose! anyway I am going now.
G'night allMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
My partner is well over a ft taller than me, he's been tipped :rotfl: ok he was sat on the footstool but still got tipped when I needed help and he didn't budge! Most of the time it's easier to do it myself however, done right the first time without being asked 'where does this go? what should I do with .....?' etc hence he gets left in bed
out of sight and all that, but if I need him up I open the blinds, remove his covers and open the windows
evil streak
Oh the rolls, bother! One day I might be more organised...........

STOP THE CLOCK!!! :j
Phew - didn't realise how much I could get done in 1/2 hour:
2 dresses
1 skirt
1 baby top
1 top (me)
2 jumpers
3 tshirts
2 work shirts (me)
5 - yes 5 hubby's shirts - don't think he realises how many valuable seconds leaving his sleeves inside out takes up though.
Think I'll have to make a concerted effort from Monday to get things straighter in the house. I haven't done bad the last couple of weeks but I've still got a box full of paperwork to be filed from about 6 months ago! Must make that a target for next week as well as sorting out old baby stuff to sell on ebay. I'm an ebay virgin so a bit nervous about doing it for the first time!
After my exertion for the evening I'll be off to bed for an early night - got a 3 mile run tomorrow morning as I'm training for the Manchester 10K.
Nighty night all.0 -
Just popping into say goodnight to anyone still up. Just putting the washing on then off to bed.
Tomorrow's ironing will be fun - I have treated myself to a new felt pad for under the cover, I sure do know how to live. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
