Still AF here but the gin did call earlier. I was up very early today and I find being tired lowers your defences, so to speak. think I'll be OK if i have a nice cup of tea in half an hour (can tea drinking really save the world d'you think?)0

I'm alcohol free again tonight although I did consider getting a few cans of lager earlier but I resisted.
Biscotte - I agree with the feeling tired thing, being tired makes me want to eat more food/ drink more alcohol.
My healthy eating has gone out of the window completely, I think it is the wrong time of year to attempt eating less. I'm going to have an early night tonight and maybe have a cup of tea and some choccie before.

I meant to say as well those adverts about drinking are very effective in getting the point across aren't they.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Yeah the ads are bit horrible arent they - i think being tired just makes you think, oh go on you deserve it.
Tea can I think save the world, as can coffee - Bismark said something on here a while back, if alcohol was a tablet or it was injected, snorted etc - would you take it?
Made me think about those adverts - its shocking enough thinking about them with drink, what if she took 'real drugs' to illustrate the point, I would bet all of us would find it totally shocking and unacceptable.
When it does start calling - the alcohol, I try and remind myself it is a drug - doesnt work everyitime but sometimes its enough for me to think about it.
Goodluck tonight - xxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Jo, thanks for those ads, haven't seen those before.
Hope everyone is having a good evening and there is lots of tea and toast and chocolate going on.
115k, Half way through my two week diet I totally agree it's a daft time of year to try and lose weight! I fancy anything but salad in this cold weather.
Made the pub and back without drinking alcohol although really fancied some today. Funny how some days are so much harder than others.
G'night everyone.0 -
AF, SF, confident and happy...
good luck to all those who are trying.
I don't know if it has been the reading and thinking before hand, but I am finding this easy at present, hope it lasts.
I will need support and help and I'm smart enough to ask.
Going to carry on being loud, proud and free.
Another thought .. every drink and every ciggy that I don't buy is taking money from the Tax man ..so screw him and feel good

Morning all,
Jo those ads are good aren't they? Makes getting plastered seem rather stupid instead of cool and fun.
AF yesterday, feeling energetic today which is good as I have quite a busy day - I have guests at the weekend so I have to get the house straight!
how's everyone else managing?0 -
Thanks for the article Lurky - as you say, ding dong! Here's someone NOT doing better than you...:o
Was AF yesterday but not really worthy of any credit as had stonking hangover. Experienced The Day of The Living Dead. The weekend (& TBH loads of days before that) was ridiculous, I seem to be in self-destruct mode. Have bounced back today after loads of sleep last night - feel great - am going to try REALLY HARD to have an AF Monday - Friday.....
I have felt grotty every day for the whole of November & I can't face going through December & Christmas like that, spoiling it all for myself & DD. Have to confess I love Christmas & all the build-up. So along with others on here, difficult month to be cutting down, but the on-my-own-at-home-2-bottles-a-night STOPS HERE. I feel very determined right now......hope it lasts......doing the tree tonight (first year without a real one boo hoo) always an excuse for a wee drinkie....but will not!
Good luck to all today....see you later.0 -

I have piles of veg - it's less fattening than salad for me cos I can only force down lettuce with loads of dressing / mayo! I'm also trying to shed a few millimetres this week (ever the optimist).0
