Hi all- hop eyou are all OK.

Always running chlordiazepoxide is another name for librium- GPs usually give it to stop the anxiety and panic attacks you have when you withdraw, and it stops dangerous withdrawal symtoms like seizures and helps with the DT's- because its a tranquilizer it makes you feel a bit zonked but believe me going cold turkey is much worse. I've got a mental plate in my head from having a withdrawal seizure in the street when I was out with my kids- they were terrified, blood everywhere etc so its important to take these meds. You say you think your symptoms suggest something serious- trouble is with liver disease you don't get many symptoms till you are really poorly, have another go at giving up perhaps many of your symtpoms will gradually disappear as you recover- I know mine have, but it takes time- I promise you if you reduce/cut out the alcohol you will start to feel better and you'll be surprised how quickly that can happen. Best of luck with it- I'm crossing my fingers for you.
  • Morning everyone. Just checking in for my daily inspiration:D Glad to see how many people are managing AFDs now. Not so for me managed a alcohol filled weekend instead. Roast dinner therefore red wine was essential
I am struggling to set a day for my first AFD in as long as I can remember and yes I know thats really pathetic. Would love to join a challenge if one is set up maybe that will give me the thorough kick i need.

Always running - thinking about you x

I'll settle myself in there next to you Jo and Molly.

Feeling so tired today because I have had three very late nights in a row and two of those have been boozy. I did well the first evening - was so busy catching up with everyone that I had no time to drink too much! Then Saturday we had dinner with friends, lovely food, lovely wine but really I felt rough yesterday. I was really hot in the night - sweating and feeling really toxic.
then last night I stayed up late watching the TV (stupid, stupid) and now today I feel cruddy. I'm meant to be going out tonight to to a concert .

Theres so much to catch up with on this thread, it's suddenly burst into life again - thanks and best wishes to everyone.

NTC, you can still jump on the wagon for the rest of the day ;)

Biscotte, have a good evening, who you going to see?

I plan to be sober watching Celebrity Jungle this evening, would make a change remembering what's going on in these programmes following the Hell's Kitchen not even remembering who's in the final debacle!
