Thanks Shoppie! Good luck to you too.:T
I fell asleep on the sofa last night as well and woke up about 5 wondering why I felt so squashed, my neck is sore today. I used to fall asleep downstairs a lot when I used to drink quite heavily, it seems like a few other people on here fall asleep downstairs too, I wonder if that is common with people who drink.
For me, every single time, have only just started actually 'going to bed'.
12 years of sleeping on a sofa til the wee small hours, usually wake up at about 4ish then go to bed, often fully dressed or if I manage to get into my pjs mid wine then its about the only time I managed that - lolTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I love that I am 40 except I seem to have suddenly started to put on weight - which is so unfair - (sighs in manner of a teenager, do I exercise um no) - but I did get a VW camper for my 40th - whom I very much love, was wierd one of my first questions was.
Ok so the whole drinking/driving thing - how does that work in a camper van. If you are in a vehicle and are drunk - I think you get prosecuted - but how does that work in a campervan - I caught myself figuring out how to drink whilst out in him (but not drive) as if having the van isnt awesome enough I was looking for ways of making sure I could still drink when parked up. Checking out when I would be safe to drive etc - which really shocked me. It had become well sort the wine bit out first, then plan the rest of the day/evening. Not drink it early in the day just figure out how I could have my wine later. I didnt think I would be able to have even a night off.
And thanks to you guys I have had quite a few off lately - enough of my babbling, about to join you shoppy - my laptop heads north (not to shetland you understand) to the upstairs - I may surf alittle whilst reclining in my bed.....what you at??

Hi all- just checking in.
Well done shoppy and fay, and jo for the weekend- great stuff. Can I join the 40 club please? Turned 40 in june, didn't think I'd make it- close call, felt so pleased I was alive, kicking and sober, but it felt weird to not have a party or celebrate with alcohol- even though I'm 40 cause I've given up the demon drink people say I look younger than I have done for years- I think when you re-emerge and come back to life it just shows in your skin and hair, and the confidence you get from dealing with and beating something so difficult gives you a glow that people can see.
Always running- you OK today? Take care.0 -
Arghghghgh - brother turned up bottle of wine, for me - (have told him I gave up several times) am off to bed, cork still in bottle - its going to have to stay there - too much to do - pah to folks and presents of wine - I prefer flowers. (honest!)
Camper is battered, was a bargain OH is very very lovey - he reminds me it was his pension money - guilt trip or what!! He's called Darwin (the van not the bloke) hes old (21) blue and very very tatty.
A 40something club - oh er. smiling.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

OK last post of the evening, sorry been online alot at the mo.
I have a question and it might sound silly. This past couple/six months or so when I have drunk alot I have very sore lower back on the left more than the right, sometimes on both sides. Kinda under my ribs towards my waist on my back.
I just ask cos its bad tonight (havent drunk), if I rub it, it eases off a bit. Its odd to describe like a dull kinda ache, which can be sharp sometimes.
Anyone else had this - sure is related to my drinking. Sorry to ask just been worrying me off and on.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
