Hi fay- I got this when I had kidney infections (alcohol related)- a kind of sharp pinching feeling at its worst and a dull ache the rest of the time. Have you got any fluid retention or puffy fingers/face? Are you going to the loo OK? Have you got a temperature? If so get yourself off to the docs- better to be safe than sorry.

    Night all.
  • I don't fall asleep on the sofa very often, can think of 1 time this year. My bad habit is waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning and not getting back to sleep.

Partied over the weekend and wine yesterday. Planning to get back on track today with an AFD. I'm 40 too, until me next birfday anyway.

So will go and catch up with the last few days on here now.
  • All I can say is 1968 was a good year :)

    '69 was better though!

AFD for me yesterday but I went to bed far too late so still tired, but at least I'm not feeling Bad.

Can I joint the forty club? I turn next March and am dreading it. I already look older than 40 and I'm really not very fit - haven't done any real exercise for a while. I had my third baby three years back and I haven't got back into form since.

I have no doubt that stopping drinking would help enormously to make me feel better (physically and mentally).

Am staying AF today, have a good one.
  • Morning folks

Lots of successful AFDs yesterday by the sound of it - well done everyone.:j Big news for me I have decided today is AFD No1:j :j I tried to think of the last time I had one and I genuinally couldn't remember:eek: I think if I am being honest (and I am when on here) it will be measured in years not months. Thats quite shocking really. I never see myself as a massive drinker quantity wise and rarely get "drunk" but I know I am doing lots of damage due to the amount of gaviscon I have to have and how much money I spend on my habit. I could pay off so many debts and even have some treats if I can take control of this

So its not as good as most of you but today I will be AF and [STRIKE]I cant wait for tomorrow[/STRIKE] I cant wait for the next AF day:D

    Any more takers?

Fay - I get those pains sometimes especially the morning after a gallon of wine, i have always put it down to my poor de-hydrated kidneys:o

Jolly good luck for today! And to everyone else.

I'm too blo0dy old for a 40 club! How depressing is THAT!!

I was supposed to be on AFD yesterday but ended up having loads - had some terrible news....my husbands eldest daughter from his first marriage, who was estranged but got in touch with me & DD a few months after he died & DD was so delighted to discover a half-sister, has been killed in a motorway accident, & I just can't get my head round it. She lived very close to us so we saw her quite a lot. Haven't been able to tell DD yet - she's only 9 & has already lost her grandma & her dad, I've just had to tell her about grandad probably now in hosp until the end, & now this. I must try & stay sober today - visiting dad tomorrow which is a round trip of over 100 miles - but it's going to be hard. Not that getting bladdered has helped one little bit of course, that's the stupid thing.

My posts are always so cheering aren't they? Sorry guys.
  • Oh no - what can anyone say - thinking of you tonnes. x
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:
