  • Evening folks,

Now, steady as she goes..... we all seem to be hitting some delicate points in our lives right at the moment but I'm hoping we can all hang in there and ride the storms.

it is hard, especially when we are stressed or unhappy or tired or hormonal, it's so easy to fall back into behaviours that we have learnt over such a long period of time (feel bad/stressed, crave have drink.......)

please look out for yourselves tonight and take care, everyone.

3rd AFD for me, much to my surprise!
  • Well I am confident now that I wont be giving in to the whine of the wine in the fridge :D I therefore declare my first AFD successful.:j One small step for me :D
Really wanted to put a signature in but for some reason it wont let me  ah well.

Hope everyone else who wanted a AFD managed one. Doubt I will tomorrow but i have set some new rules for myself and I have realised I actually have enjoyed the day so who knows.

hey well done ntc. why doubts re tomorrow when you enjoyed today? I'm not only a nag but a hypocritical one cos have been there.......who can understand this thing.

no way af for me today but at least on way to bed - no sofa-crick-neck - & having mug of tea. far from saint-like but started early so am finishing....now.

Hope you're all ok & ridin' that wagon....or at least clinging to the sides.....
  • The whine (good name by the way) is out of the fridge and relegated to the cupboard, warm white wine, yuk!! (I know it works with ice) lol

AFD 3 for me - I have stuck mine on my sig cos I get depressed when i end up back at my first one, when Bis pointed out I had managed a couple already this month, previously unheard of before starting on this thread. YOu are all really truely special and motivational!

Got an orchid today (cost two bottles of wine) as my lillies (previous first wine savings purchase) went all over, they lasted for ages though.

I know its silly, I never treated myself to anything before - couldnt justify it/afford it etc - now I have my head saying OK treat OR wine you can't have both. And wine doesnt change anything, a silly bunch of flowers on the other hand seems to spurn me on. Each one of them shouts - that's a bottle of wine I didn't drink.

God knows what that says about me. Hugs and thoughts to those going through horrid things - this morning I broke down (adjacent to the police station) at before 8am - normally I'd be dodgy to drive at the best of times, but this morning was harrassing enough without worrying about being questioned by police and reeking of booze. Made me think.

Love to you all, hope don't sound too droney groany! Night AFD3 WOO HOO
