Thus far the alcohol is stashed outside in shed - cold and wet wander should I feel the need isnt very appealing - .

I've tried this....to no avail. If you wanna drink, a drop of rain ain't gonna stop you. Eselt had a good idea when I did this (which I failed to take up, I just kept going to the shed instead :o ) which was to wrap the bottles up in really fancy paper / decorations & give as Xmas, or other, presents.

I can already hear Bis saying....at what cost to yourself....& he's so right. It's still money you could have not spent, & like any "bargain".....would you have bought it if not on offer?

For some reason I need to get this off my chest, maybe hoping it will be cathartic (sp?) .....in my earlier post re the weekend I told the truth but not the whole truth, as I am very, VERY :o:o:o:o ......

when OH & I had the row last night I was going round flinging all my stuff into a pile to storm off back to my house (a five-mile......erm, drive) with, even worse, DD & dog on board. I was so ANGRY. This was an all-time low for me, to endanger DD & other people on the road cos of my drunken temper. OH said the right thing - I could do what I liked but I had to leave DD with him. That brought me to my senses, but THEN I had to explain to DD (9) why I wasn't allowed to take her. Then it all calmed down & we were all OK (& OH still blames my hormones! Is he blind?!) but I'm horrified at what I was going to do, obviously it was dark too, feel so bad for DD that I got her to pack all her stuff up too (she wasn't upset, as it happens, but even so....) I feel all-round big-time mortified & so, so ashamed......& I was also feeling bad that I was keeping this to myself, this thread has that effect on me, don't want to deceive you all.
    Sorry....a ramble....
  • Wish I'd caught Jeremy Kyle now (!can't believe I'm saying that.) I managed a double level of binge drinking yesterday, maybe I should count my boozing in binge multiples rather than units. Not a good sign.

Although even my friends I consider the pretty sober ones hit binge drinking when we were out on Friday by that definition of 5 small glasses of wine. More food for thought.

Fingers crossed for an AFD today. Need to sober up still after yesterday I think.

Fay, I think Winebox's idea is a good one to wrap those bottles up. I think that would be more likely to stop me (especially if I liked the wrapping paper and/or had written the gift tag) than having to put my coat and shoes on as it's still less effort than getting to the nearest shop.

Sounds like halloween was a horror for lots of us.
