    Hellooooo.
Gosh I had a shock on Sat - didn't realise the website would be down! So have not been on here since Fri afternoon, lots to catch up on.
Elantan - difficult. maybe a cooling off period esp if you are in the spare room might make him realise how far he's gone.
Nice to have you back Molly!
Shoppy - both contact lenses?! Don't know what sort you wear but hope they're either cheaper ones or insured.I don't insure mine now as never lose them (& we all know what will happen next, now I've said that) - I have GP ones & have been wearing the same pair for nearly 4 yrs! But I have frequently dreaded opening the case in the morning, & been amazed to find them there as usual.
Well done polaroid & Jo!!. Hope going back to work dosn't make it harder Jo, you might need to draw on new resolve.
My weekend gets mixed reviews - had more than I intended but less than I often do & certainly there was no unpleasantness, I didn't start any rows.
At last I talked about it to OH. He asked me if I'd done anything about going to the doctor about HRT, & I said that in my opinion throwing pints of water over people had nothing to do with hormones & everything to do with having had far far too much to drink. He didn't really say much but I noticed that he had less than usual both Sat & Sun, maybe the better to keep an eye on me? I was out with DD for much of both days at local country shows so it wasn't our usual routine which helped me I think.
He did make a nasty comment at one point - I said (when I didn't need to say anything) that there was a chip in the spare bedroom ceiling where the door had been pushed too far back, & I said it might have been there months, might have been me or DD or other people who have used the room recently & are renowned for breakages every visit! He said it was probably me in a nasty drunken temper. I thought that was unfair - I'd been honest with him when it would be all too easy to hide behind the hormone excuse & absolve myself very neatly of responsibility for my behaviour. didn't say anything but I will if he is going to keep on making digs.
Anyways, I also had far too much to eat & the scream when I got on the scales this morning was heard far & wide. So, today is proper start, wine & food both. I haven't weighed this much for probably 9 yrs (DD being 9.....)

Charming weather again! - Hope you are all having good days, September will be a goodun for all of us?

Sorry to hear of your row, Elantan. We can all say some awful things when we're fuelled with alcohol, although I can understand why you're hurt. My mum says horrible things to people when she's had a drink and then can't understand it when they snub her when they next see her! Perhaps you need a good talk to OH about the things he said and how you're feeling. Hugs whatever you do (()).

Im still on my Slimming World diet today (Im not hungry on it at all!). My only downfall will be alcohol. I haven't had a drink since Friday and I know I will want one tonight. If my OH starts drinking I will find it doubly difficult. Well, we shall see.

Woo hoo!! Well done MP, and well-deserved x
  • Elantan, hope you and OH can resolve it somehow (((hugs)))

Beachbeth :T congrats on making it through the weekend AF!! I have considered joining SW but the cost of the classes puts me off as I am really trying to get debt free - must find willpower from somewhere without it costing me money!!!

Winebox - yes it was BOTH lenses and mine are GP's too, I pay into a replacement scheme which entitles me to a new pair every year and one half price lens per year if I lose or damage one but I have already claimed that one:o I have NO idea what I did with them :o It has really shown me that I have no memory when drunk - OH has had a bit of a go at me about it, he just said I don't know when to stop and I am ashamed to agree, I never feel sick with alcohol and could just drink until I drop (well, lets face it I usually do!!!) PS good luck with the first day of your diet - I am STARVING today!!

I have ordered myself a new cookery book, cooking is a great passion of mine and I am determined one day to work in the industry so I have decided to spend time and effort perfecting all the 'classics' since I have been watching professional masterchef last week!! Hopefully it will keep my mind occupied!

    Hi all :)

    MP, congratulations :T :T :T :D

Shoppy, good luck for later x

Elantan, sorry to hear all what's going on....I hope you get it sorted tonight :)

Polaroid, how did it go getting an appointment, good on you for taking the next step :T

Just got back from work and am exhausted! Still, got so much achieved without all the kids being there and hopefully tomorrow will be completely up to speed before they all desend on us on Wednesday

I noticed I had some serious drink cravings on the way home, even though I worked through my lunch and left at 3pm I still wanted a drink...if I was still drinking I would definately have started at 3.30pm when I got in
