Afternoon everyone, well, had a 'good' night Wednesday with not a drop passing my lips but had almost a full bottle of white last night:o am going out for a meal with friends tonight so will prob be worse for wear tomorrow and then its off to sunny (hopefully) Lanzarote first thing Sunday - I am going 'cold turkey' upon my return so I will see you all then!
Happy Easter to all and hope it's a (fairly) sober one!!
Love and hugs

Might have something to do with the glorious tummy bug that my son has given to me though........I am not a well bunny but will use this opportunity to have a few days off it and then hopefully the need will go away.
Can anyone send me a bout of the flu and then maybe I won't fancy smoking for a week either?...
PS well done cabbagegrower:T0 -
Cheers dears, I wish I had felt well on it though this morning but instead I thought my stomach was going to explode so may have been better with a hangover! Tummy is clearing up and don't want to aggravate it with alcohol so the next few days should be alcohol free. Usually on a bank holiday weekend we can't help but go out on the Sunday just because it is a novelty being able to lie in on a Monday! (this was pre-baby days though!) I still had to get up with sproggy this morning, despite being ill, because my lazy arsed hubby can sleep through world war three and never hears him!
Enjoy your holiday and good luck for cold turkey - you're a braver soul than me!£15k of unsecured debt.....oh dear0 -
I should say that my hubby isn't really lazy arsed, he is under my car at the moment doing my brakes....and I suppose you would be tired if you went out at 11:45 for a stinking kebab (?!?!) weirdo!£15k of unsecured debt.....oh dear0

Well iv'e done it, 30 days alcohol free and I feel quite proud of myself, didn't think I would manage it but it did get easier. I was hoping by now that I would feel a whole lot fitter but I have had an abscess in my ear and boy was that painful. Still getting over it (lost a lot of sleep) but things are definately on the up. How is everyone, been a couple of days silence from everyone so hope everything is OK.0

Lurks, fess up!- haven't really cut down since I did my run (16th) and back to my previous levels. I may go out today and if I feel ok after I can start on a regular running thing, which will either mean I drink less, or have an excuse to drink
how pathetic am I?Neigh, neigh, and thrice neigh

hello...
reading this thread with interest (though I admit not page to page).
I want to cut down; I currently regularly go to the pub for a drink with my friends midweek and weekend. I rarely, if ever, drink at home.
I don't want to give up totally, but basically cut out these midweek or boring weekend ones, and save the sauce for big nights out....
Is this the thread for me???
