I think we need a roll call on this thread, there's too many lurking. There are a few of us that would like to feel safety in numbers, so fess up if you're lurking!!!

You've hit the nail on the head about being too guilty to post, I think by not posting on here it's like you don't need to own up! xx

Exactly why I have been lurker extraordinaire. 2 days alch free was my feeble effort, back on 20 units a day since. Feel OK most mornings  which should worry me a great deal but can't say I'm looking my radiant best. I have thought & thought about why I drink (which was the general topic last time I posted 2 wks ago) & I honestly can't come up with an answer, I feel it's a mental need rather than a physical one (when I had 2 days off, I felt great after just the first day, no withdrawal symptoms, but maybe there wasn't time!). But if it's a mental thing I should be able to id what it is; maybe it is a physical need after all. Splitting hairs?! What's even more stoopid is I feel sort of exonerated by the fact others are teetering a bit, which isn't a very nice attitude. I am trying not to be jealous of other's success cos I know that's not AT ALL what it's about, but maybe that's what it's all doing to me, I'm not such a nice person these days.

Bet you preferred it when I just lurked :o

I keep lurking on here. I managed not to drink last week from Sunday onwards and was feeling quite pleased and positive and didn't drink until Thursday. (I had never managed this before.)

However, this week Ive been a bit upset (family troubles) and its meant that Ive had a few drinks. Im hoping that I can not drink tonight and have a good night's sleep and feel much better tomorrow.

Well done everyone who is managing to stay off the sauce and for those who have fallen off the wagon, don't worry. You wouldn't be human if you didn't. Just don't look back - you can't change what has already happened. Look forward and do your best with what help you can get.

    Have a good day!:hello:
