Good luck on the Stag day/night...I couldnt do it. I spent years cursing my mates who decided to not get married because they didn't have stag dos...Then one mate got married last summer on the quiet and I was glad he didn't have one.
I'm sure you know plenty about the calorific "value" of lager but the problem is that they are empty calories and stopping you getting to where you and your body really want to be.

Did whole BH without a drink! :j
I hope you all did as well as you wished, if not better! :T
20/31 days (still cant do the 25, but it will be close)
24 days for stella existance - cant wait to get rid of this nasty stuff!
Did it by buying 3 bottles of fizzy fruit flavoured water, not the nicest stuff, and subsituting the first can with water - both taste horrible for the first one!
A bottle a night Friday through Sunday, nearly succumbed monday night though, but couldn`t be bothered due to rain!
Just got cousins birthday next weekend to get through - going to party late, due to work & driving, or at least thats the plan!Living debt free, since Sept 08 & Dec 10 :wall:

Has every one seen the NHS unit ads on the telly of bill boards?
What do we think?
Personally, as I am NOT drinking, it makes me think just how much I have drunk, not going to use past tense just yet!
Not sure how much notice I would be taking if I was drinking as previously.
Anyone got any thoughts as to them?Living debt free, since Sept 08 & Dec 10 :wall:

Andy, I decided after about half hour of posting, to delete my comment from earlier, you probably read it as I saw you were online, just really worried about you
Hope everyone else is well

Hi everyone, I haven't logged on for a few days but am still not drinking any alcohol - now day 9! Like SamanthaA I was impressed with myself that I managed a whole bank holiday weekend without having a drink - in fact, I went on a date and drank lemonade!
Feeling pretty good at the moment. I'm out with friends both Friday and Saturday, but have told them all that I won't be drinking and they are all supporting me on that, which is great.

Hi All,
Jo - many thanks for looking out for me .. you didn't need to delete the post - honestly I wasn't upset about it at all - in fact I was glad that someone cared. I was online, had read it, just started to reply and we had a power cut...... of course after I had typed loads but not sent it before it cut out !!:mad:
Anyway - can clearly see where you and ISOM are coming from regarding the slippery slope, and have put my warning signs up. Easy to fall off that wagon completely I know. I think had they not have cancelled my counseling session for the umpteenth time I would have been alright .... but guess I thought if they can't be bothered then why should I.
Anyway - you have given me a well deserved kick up the bum and have now made another appointment .... to see if they can make it six cancellations on the trot
Got to wait until next monday now though. Lets see what happens this time.
Anyway - its great to have your support and to have you looking out for me. Thank you.
I will go back and print of my "mental notes" of a few posts ago (Thats notes made in my mind..... not notes from a mad man.........on second thoughts though) .
Think I may hang them up in front of the computer.
Mollypolly, jlynncsf & Samantha --- good job :T:T:T keep it up.
Everyone else - hang on tight!Watch out for those injuns!
Best Wishes
