nearly got 100 notes there hillbill any plans

Any plans I did have are now out of the window AB - I had an unexpected income tax bill yesterday :mad::mad:.

Still at least I'm not so uptight about it as I probably would have been a couple of months ago so I suppose thats progress :D

Just sold a load of stuff on ebay too - in one hand and paid out with the other .

Still - would have been really struggling when drinking too so am still smiling :D:D !
This being sober is starting to be enjoyable

it's almost comical...any bad news is an excuse for some booze.....

any celebration? why...course we need to break open a can....

    scary stuff!

You gotta admire the tax mans timing though  Couldn't be worse!

I wouldn't mind - but I've asked them three years on the trot to sort out my tax code ..... every year still manage to bungle it!

Thats why I thought the above poems were appropriate - to remind us ..... 'any old excuse' hey?

Right ..... time for a shower before dashing back to work.
Hope to catch up later this evening

Hi all, not had much chance to get on here the last couple of days, but will try to grab an hour later to catch up with your posts. OH & I ended up sharing a can on Wednesday,so she kindly left one for me to drink last night! No more beer in the house til we go shopping Friday & OH working tonight & tomorrow night. This makes it so much easier for me when there's no beer in the house to be honest. Going to wedding do on Saturday night which we are looking forward to. Will make sure I pace myself though so I don't end up getting hammered! Off to pick DD up from school now, all the best to you all!
Hi all! Well done to all of you for keeping your alcohol intake down or cutting it out altogether. Well done BHB, that is some willpower to go that long without a drink, the longest I have ever done was 26 days! For me though it is more cutting the beer down than giving up altogether. Not had a drink for 2 days now & I could easily nip to the shop across the road or drink the last drop of wine that's in the fridge, but to be honest I am not bothered about having a beer tonight. Will have a couple of bers tomorrow night though but so far I've had 4 No Drinking Days in May,so quite pleased with that, if I can have 10 NDD's a month I will be more than happy. NDD's 4/31!!
