Morning all
Where are you all, out enjoying the lovely warm weather I hope! I feel like absolute carp this morning, DS is still not well, he did go to school yesterday cos he said he was okay and he was fine when he got home from school but then spent the rest of the night throwing up. I think this stil stems from being out in the sun on Friday at school  cos he's not been in the sun or been completely protected ever since.
Sleep deprivation to me is worse than a hangover, I love my kip and I've missed out on some. Let's hope these pills I gotta take help me to feel calm later when I'm knackered and stressed about getting home and getting dinner and stuff done!
Hope you all have a good day, better get off me bum and get ready for work!

morning
day 3 feeling good, hope your pills work jo have a nice day everyonesmoke free since 16 feb 080 -
Nearly broke into the can of cider last night.
Stressful day - DS birthday, both feeling ill, Drs appointment for both & the A & L messing me about.
Didn`t, as told meself that alcohol wouldnt cure the problems & wouldn`t make them go away.
So day 8/31
And bottle of wine/ can of cider day 3!
Hope fully I can solve the A & L thingy today, as I still feel too ill to go to work. Also Just spotted Virgin Media have doubled the bill for this month for some reason, so need to sort that too.Living debt free, since Sept 08 & Dec 10 :wall:

. Managed to keep myself on milk for a while (I can drink gallons of the stuff!), but finally, once I had sat down at around nine o' clock, decided to have the one I had promised myself . I DID make a conscious effort to nurse it and it took me an hour and a half to drink, then I went to bad.......
So just the one can for me, though there's now another three in the fridge .
I know from experience that cans are there to be drunk, so nursing one for an hour & half & then leaving 3 is a huge step forward,(well it would be for me!)Living debt free, since Sept 08 & Dec 10 :wall:

Thanks guys!:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -
morning all- and what a beautiful morning it is !!
TNG- - hi and well done for making it last so long - have you now officially joined us then ??
Jo- Hi- try to stay awake missy !! Its horrible when you haven't had enough sleep, I've been awake since about 5 but think thats because I fell asleep in the garden for 2 hours :eek:yesterday afternoonand then walked around the golf course last night with OH- so we were tired and went to bed early. No champers last night, just 1 glass of wine to toast new house- thought that was very restrained !! Plus OH hates it so going to save it to have with someone that appreciates it !!
Thanks Molly - hoping the move isn't too stressful too- we already have a date of end of July - which seems far away but I know it isn't !! Hopefully it'll be plain sailing, I know only too well how these things can be a nightmare, but have sort of forgotten as its been 5 years !!
ltm07- my OH's a Derby fan- I've been dragged there twice this season- not pretty- either game !!! Sure next year'll be better... hopefully !!
Insearch of me- I'm the same with white wine- makes me go loopy !!
Bismarck, SamanthA, ageing biker, Sea- and anyone else I've forgotten- hi all- have a great day !!!:T:T:T:T:TMTC's NO MORE PIES MEMBER NO 202 !!!

Evening all,
Basil, amazing news! I'm so pleased for you
Bismarck, thanks for being so supportive to everyone (me included!)
ISOM, enjoy your book club, let us know what book you're reading..
Well, a bit of a turn up for the books this evening....
OH had to go to the docs before me as he has high cholesterol (sp?) and had a blood test last week and the results were in. His cholesterol is indeed high but he also has a high level of iron in his blood and his liver results came back 75 when they should of been 40 odd (or 7.5 instead of 4.0). The doc then questioned him about his alcohol intake as this is normally the only reason to get this level. He doesn't actually drink much, in fact he never really drinks indoors apart from a bottle of cold Magners when spurs are playing an important match, but he does go out on a Friday maybe once or twice a month but stays for lock in and won't get home till 4am. Doc reckons he's a binge drinker and has done his liver in just by drinking every 3 weeks  So he's not only gotta keep off the booze, but the red meat and funny fags too!
Anyway, although that's not good, it did make me laugh considering I've drank everyday for the last 15 years almost and my test came back normal!
So I went to the docs, he said that in his opinion I didn't need anti-depressants but something for anxiety. He's prescribed me diazepam which I'm a little concerned using as they are addictive but he said that he thought I needed calming down during the quitting period and needed help from the shakes and panics which he said I was actively showing him before him  He said, 'look you're shaking!' So maybe I'm inclined to agree as I've googled diazepam and it says that it helps people coming off alcohol, they're probably similar to the librium (sp?) I took during detox a couple of years ago. I've got to take up to 3 a day as required (only 1 at a time though), so thought I might leave the morning one and take one at lunch to help with going home time and then one in the evening if I need it.
I've only got a months worth, he said that that would give me a month of abstinence to feel sane again and shouldn't need them after that, I'm happy with that!
Oh he also said not to stress quitting until I get the pills so I will try and get them tomorrow lunch time. He said to stop stressing about quitting cos it's putting too much onus on it. Do it casually and calmly.
So there we have it.
Hope everyone else is well?
xx
You're welcome!!!:D
Well done so far...the key is not to feel deprived or punished..you are simply choosing not to drink.
Glad that the doctor had good news for you!
I'll be around and am available for PMs if anyone needs to say anything...For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
