Can anyone tell me if a Draytek Vigor 2600Vg router would work with voipceap/buster/stunt or do you have to use their own bundled software?0
-
To get VoIP Cheap to work, you need to use either sip1.sipdiscount.com or sip.voipstunt.com as the sip proxy.
VoIP Stunt, VoIP Buster and Sip Discount work fine under there own proxy or each others, VoIP Cheap via the above. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Look at this thread on USB adapter that lets you use/share the same phone with both Voip and a landline cheaply.

What's doing my nut at the minute is a constant pop-up window asking me to save a number I have called to my contact list
- I have searched the settings high and low to switch it off but there is no switch. So to bring me joy please help in stopping the 'contact' pop-up.
1. select number from contact list
2. start conversation
3. 30 seconds in pop-up 'Do ya wanna save contact'
4. no i pigging welll don't it is already a contact
HELP???!??
Shame 0845 is not free either - else all in all a great service
Headset I got was a quid from the Mrs - has volume control and does a decent job.0 -
My apologies is this is old news but I just got an email form Voipcheap telling me my credit is about to expire:
VoipCheap credit is valid for 120 days.
Your credit will expire in 30 days.
We advise you to use your credit before it expires and/or buy new credit so your current credit will not expire.
I topped up to get unlimited calls, but I haven't used the credit, as it's a free destination. I know £5 per month for unlimited international calls is not bad at all, but I don't feel like paying other 5 pounds if I can help it! Has anyone thought of a way around this?0 -
120 days is 4 months, so that £5 top-up is £1.25 per month for unlimited calls, not too bad at all. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Interesting that "Voipcheap credit expires after 120 days".
The credit on my voipbuster.com account expired today but the expiry time on that service is 180 days. So it looks like they are putting slightly different T&C for each of their services.
>> Correction << I just logged in to the voipbuster site and that now says credit expires after 120 days. So does the SIPdiscount.com site. So it looks like they have made all their sites the same now for how long the credit lasts.0 -
My VoIP Buster credit has just expired, not bad considering I have only put €1 on it around 10 months ago.

I've been using the voipcheap/buster products for a good number of months now trouble free.
I have found some issued with the service and Tiscali though...
I can use Voipcheap most days but then all of a sudden I cannot access the webpage or log in to my account and use the voip service
The strange thing is that all of my friends who use Tiscali have the same problem at the same times I cannot access both the website and the program.
If I ask one of my non-Tiscali friends to access the webpage then they can go in no problem at all.
I emailed Tiscali about this and I've generally been given a load of hogwash in reply to my query.
I'm just wondering if they do this because they want you to take up their call bundle offer?
I never have any problems with connection to the Voipbuster website or program though...any ideas?0 -
I've just configured X-Lite to work with Voipcheap so I'll see if that works next time Tiscali blocks me0
