    Hi All,

Anyway, maybe you guys are right that E4B plays around to try and prevent people from changing supplier but i still believe that the suppliers you guys applied to changed to are to be blame more. furthermore, other suppliers puts you on emergency rates till you find another supplier only when you give sufficient notice, your contract has finished and you still have not found a supplier yet,, otherwise, they do the same.

Anyway, am not writing regarding all the above. The only way to get out of any contract is if you do a COT (Change Of Tenancy). Now you could do this in a legal way and some people do it illegally which is why i was not too sure whether to write aboput this or not. Just to confirm, that i mean it all in the LEGAL way wher you would have to do a lease agreement stating that you renting the property to someone (partner, wife, brother,..... etc) which implies that you are no mopre running the business and therfore means that you are no more bound by the current contract and the new owner will have the choice of changing supplier. This method will cost you much cheaper than a sollicitor to fight your case and above all, it saves you the hassle and time to fight where i think in most cases you will still be stuck for 2 yrs with these rollover prices.

If you need more details, i'll be happy to assist or i can even get someone to get in touch with you and sort it out since i still have some contacts with people in the enrgy market having worked for electricity companies myself previously (as mentioned previously)

    Ash

Trouble is - if you are a Limited company - you can't get out of the contract, EDF want £500 from us to end the deal now!
  • hi there

i'm an ex customer of e4b myself, and of course got stung by british gas as SOLR. however, this year i've managed to sort out a new supplier by using a really good broker based here in milton keynes. the company was truman utilities, and you can google them i think.... anyway, they called me in june and said they were trying to help out a lot of ex e4b customers (apparently they'd been stung by them as well!). they managed to secure me an excellent rate which goes live in a couple of weeks, with annual savings of nearly £2000 against bg's renewal prices!

i'd tried using brokers before, but a lot of them wanted money to search (why?!), and others were pretty much TELLING me who to sign with. these guys gave me quite a few options with a comparison and i decided who i wanted to sign with from there!

so far so good! hope this helps anyone else!

So they are local to you. What a coincidence. Perhaps they might give you a job.

And you registered on here to make this as you first post. Awwww! Bless! I look forward to seeing you comment on a diverse range of subjects in future.

  • yes they are local(ish) to me. yes that was my first post, and yes you may well see me posting on various forums. thank you for being so negative when i merely offered my opinion on ONE company. not everyone is out to mess around thank you, and i don't appreciate your tone.

anyway, as i said, i hope everyone else gets sorted. i'm still awaiting a rebate from e4b and the administrators, but i'm sure that will never materialise!

You would be amazed at the number of first posters there are who come along to praise this company or that - and who are plainly spamming. If you are not spamming, I am sorry, your naivety means that you are collateral damage. If you are spamming, forget it. Either way, if you don't engage with a range of topics, a first post contribution promoting 1 company tends to count for very little - if anything it is rather negative to the reputation of the company concerned.

As for your assertions by PM about my motivation, perhaps you should go expose yourself to the risks of going public. Personally, I detest spamming.

  • again, i'm not spamming. i mentioned ONE company in my first ever post as, whilst googling e4b, i happened across this website, read a lot of posts about how other people have been treated, and decided to chip in my two cents. i thought that was the purpose of forums? regardless of where i post, when i post, or how frequently, i merely stated my experiences. in future perhaps i shouldn't bother.
  • Lot of people trying to cash in on other peoples mistakes

Hi. Was that aimed at me? Pardon my foolishness! I don't know Mr Sharpe? Maybe I should re-read some of the previous posts????
