Stupid bank I was right not to trust them. Interest remains the same unless I repay in full from the sounds of it.

Confused now whether to fnd a high interest account to put the monies in until I have enough. Currently £13.6k if I cleared today. Or just over pay and know how much I will pay overall.

I hope things dont come in threes!

Rang potential buyers today to find that their car had broken and couldnt find our number. Mechanic didnt have it to hand so they went out and brought another car.

Havent marketed the car because OH said they would have first refusal.

Now spent £27 for car to go in local paper for three weeks so lets hope our luck changes a bit.

Stupid potential buyers (well the missus) panicked over her car being broken and apparently went and spent £5.5k on a Galaxy that needs work already!Could have had our car another 7 seater for half that!

Trying to sound positive but I just want to cry. OH keeps commenting about the Cavalier, the clutch aint right , the brakes arent good enough, he can now smell petrol. We know there is still work thats needed but is there anything else not been found. I am going to spend about a grand on this car thats worth 500 tops when through the MOT. If we sell we (well bloody well me) will lose money.

Insured it this morning £412.00 with £50 due from quidco. Good price but I paid in full and will lose if I cancel I think I have 14 days to minimilise losses on that.

Ive peed OH as well because work want me to go away for 3 nights next week and I away for a night the following week already.

Credit card bill is scarily high should be ok in the end when car if it ever sells or we do sell. Cant decide whether to just pay loan for easy life or put effort in to get a good savings account. Feeling too low/unsure at the moment.

Probably do car boot tomorrow so I can see if the books will go and advertise the car. At the moment still selling but I am worried that the cavalier is a moneypit. The mechanic seems to think other then the work advised it was a good car.

Sorry to be all confused and down just want to go AAAARRRRGHHH

Hiya Wendy sorry the car didn't work out. Sometimes it feels like 2 steps forward and 3 back sometimes.
Good luck if you do the car boot. Most of them are over by the time I surface.
If it stays sunny I'm sure you'll do well. Wish I had your energy :D

  • Just a quick update to say the best news from the car boot today was I got to sit in the sun for a few hours and occasionally talk to some friends and all for a cost of £2!!

oh dear!! Sounds like youve had a tough week - hugs for you! Are loans front loaded? If so is it worth paying early? Mine are and if I pay early the ony one to benefit are the banks so being a stubborn cow am not paying early! WIll pay my cc's off and then just settle in! Mind you by the time I pay them off the loans will be almost paid anyway! Youre doing great and it does take time to settle in to DFW way of life and just accept that it will take time - some months are better than others so just go with it, put the paddling pool up & enjoy the sunshine. The rest will sort in the end! Huge hugs for you!

E-bay and Amazon have been pretty slow for me this week. Got 20 items listen and only one watcher on the whole lot. Am running out of ways to make money now. I signed up to Money Back Madness and have got £25.01 there already. You got to have about £30-£35 before you can withdraw though. It's so annoying.
