  • Bread a success. It was stuck but managed to get it out in one piece using the measuring spoon handle and wait for it a long handled bubble making stick which bent perfectly around the corner to get at the bottom!

lol Wendy Ive got visions of you hunting the house for any suitable 'bread de-sticking' device! Glad it worked anyway.
Cars are damned expensive, its so frustrating. We comprimised by getting DH a MBike, I dont know how we could ever afford to run a second car, but everyones circumstances are different and a lot of families wouldn't be without both.
  • Good day overall much better than usual

    Bath kids DONE
Pick DD1 up at 11 DONE
    Put shopping away DONE
Prepare for work meeting tomorrow STILL DONT WANT TO DO AT ALL BUT WILL DO LATER
    Bake cookies? DONE
Have bath WELL STUCK HEAD UNDER SHOWER FOR NOW
    Ring Mum DONE

Have also washed up twice which is good for me usually make a mess and leave to OH lol! Added three books to Amazon but they are only 1p ones so will see. Think I might lose out on postage but I dont mind too much as then I will get feedback. Dont like being a newbie.

  • Just a thought about the second car there is no cost really a bit of tax and personal petrol. Couldnt run two private cars. Just adding up the cost of the first one was scary.

Now have to find time to write up another report along with the two already due  .

Thats the bad news the good is I came into my first Amazon sale £50 less postage :j  :j which will be quite a bit because Ill do recorded/special and its a 600g parcel. Will still be quids up.

Made a cheap dinner with leftovers :money: - forgot veg oops but kids happy.

Been making Easter bonnets with kids. DS needs one for school so DD's joined in. If the camera is working I might even attempt to upload the lovely artistic results:rotfl: !

Hi Wendy sorry work wasn't too good but surely the Amazon sale made up for the bad start. Well done you.

Thank god my kids are too old for the old easter bonnets now. I'm one of those mothers who helps the kids make the bonnets and not make it for them, hence my children never won any competitions!!!
  • OH saw some today at the school that are soooo not been anywhere near the kids hands!. I gave a couple of ideas and helped a tad but he aint gonna win. As long as hes happy thats what counts.

I agree there, the children have so much fun doing these things for themselves. They make a mess but they enjoy it. No doubt, some of the bonnets will look as if they've been done professionally. DS is supposed to be making an easter log in cookery tomorrow but he's not been in school today as he's been ill so no doubt he'll have to do it tomorrow night!

Aw bless at the easter bonnets. Im the same, I like to give minimal assistance. I havent been in the habit of keeping of keeping the stuff DS makes at pre-school (except the special stuff for mothers day etc.) because I know hes had help making it. Whereas the stuff they do at toddler group I know how much hes done himself. Id rather it looked pants but was all his own work, otherwise wheres the fun in doing it. The kids made easter baskets yesterday and DS did all the decoration himself, I just put it together. DD obviously needed more assistance, but still did a fair bit herself.

Anyway, yay for your £50 sale on Amazon. Is that the boxset you only just added?!
  • Thanks

Yes it was one of five I posted at the weekend. Prices range from £35-60 and it was a £60 one that sold. Postage should cost £6 so £44 profit.

I really enjoyed the bonnets thankfully no paint or glitter so mess was minimal.

Forgot to mention yesterday we agreed for DD1 to go on a school trip next year its only £175 yep thats right gonna have to find and extra £175. We can pay in installments and they want £15 straight away. I think we should be ok and it will be good for her.
