    Afternoon all

Well it looks like DS has stopped being sick, He has been asleep for an hour and a half. OH is also fast asleep. He'll regret it later.

Thought I would use the time constructively, so have sorted out my car insurance renewal, £98 fully comp with the Post Office. Am so pleased, have even managed to pay it all up front, something which I have never been able to do :j I can't believe this site is 5 years old, i really wish i had found it 5 years ago when things were so dire. I am so grateful for all the help I have recieved.

Off to check on DS and do some knitting, am starting to fade a bit.

    Jan :A xxxx

    hi jannyannie,

sorry to be nosey, but where did you get the car insurance quote, was it the post office?? that is really cheap:T

    thanks in advance-- dorry xxxx

    Afternoon all!
Hugs to those who need/want them, am thinking of a lot of you at the moment.
Will be doing some baking and throwing two chickens in the oven very soon, then they'll be stripped of their meat and will do us for a couple of weeks I'm hoping!
Got awful pain in my shoulders and neck, am sure it is down to the street dancing I ended up doing yesterday! It was great doing it and I got that fab rush afterwards, but today I'm feeling the consequences of my actions. I guess my muscles just aren't up to that kind of exercise yet, I just find the graded exercise I'm meant to be doing too demeaning and end up in tears instead.
Back to school tomorrow, but have 2 INSET days, so not too bad, plus our lunch is catered for which is always good.
    Have a relaxing Sunday!

    There. All better now. ;)

Smokey.... I hope you are getting some sleep and you have good news when you visit OH tommorrow.
Sorry to hear about your OH's depression Ruby.

Welll I'm being driven slowly insane here but had the foresight to bring my own car so I can escape early and leave OH and the kids to return home later.

No OS to report but yesterday in an efort to put off coming here I cleaned my fridge, did all the laundry, washed all the floors and gutted to utility room and recycling area.

So the plan is to make good my escape here, drive the 40 miles home and go home to a clean house and climb inside a bottle of gin. :rotfl:

On the plus side.... MIL has 3 acres of stunning gardens and I saw 7 red squirrels today and 2 frogs laying their spawn. :j Spring has sprung ladies. ;)

Been to Tesco, not many bargains but did get a Finest pork pie for tomorrow's dinner, and some Finest duck eggs  There seemed to be a world shortage of fizzy water, though - no value stuff, no ordinary own-brand stuff - in fact nothing except expensive stuff in small bottles  Will have to get some on the way home from work tomorrow.

Also they had a deal on steak mince, ending today - £3 for a kilo of lean steak mince :T I bought 2 packs so there will be some chilli con carne being made sometime this week.

Ran into one of my neighbours halfway round who offered me a lift home, but I declined on the basis that me and the wally trolley rather like our little trek across the park :)

Hi everyone, not been about for the last few days as I'm snowed under with paper at work. I'm in at the moment trying to find my desk under a huge pile of data and chocolate wrappers! Boss is away next week though, thank heavens. Hugs to those that need them.

Hugs for smokeybabe - thinking of you
Stefejb, glad you've got a friend you can rely on through all this and hugs for you and your DD

Got a large amount of reduced meat in Somerfield last night, really pleased with all that - and a lot of it will last a while too. Make cookies and carrot cake last night. Am going to finish up here and go home (OH is out with freinds - I managed to avoid this) and lie on the sofa with a bottle of wine and play MarioKart until I fall asleep :D

    Hello All!

Went out for a curry last nite with DH, which was lovely!! yum

Busy day today as the sun was out - hoovered under the bed - where does all the fluff come from??? changed linen, done washing but TD is on as its now raining.

DH washed and hoovered my car, while I cut the grass, tidied up leaves, washed the kids swing/slide and little van. Washed the flower pots and then poured some bleach over the pation to clean up the slabs! phew!
Just thinking about having something to eat now!
