    morning all,

well i have not heard anything from him, although my mum phoned his dad last night, they know each other, and he said that OH was in bed, at 8.30, i had sent him a text yesterday which he read this morning, so he is up, i supposse i will just have to wait. i hate this depression, if it was a physical thing i could cope with it.

dd is ok, she seems to be coping with it, she is off to dance rehersal at school today so that will keep her busy, my dog keeps looking for him too:o , i did not sleep well, and am not eating, but will cook some chops later for tea.

hugs to those that need them xx

I'm drowning in a sea of material :rotfl: I've altered the curtains in the lounge, and made 2 new pairs (tab-tops, they're fiddlier to make than I thought lol) for the hall and landing. I really don't want to spend any money buying curtain poles so I'm going to try and make some out of bamboo canes

I have loads of material left over so I might make a make-up bag, a carrier bag storage tube bag thing and a little bag for cotton wool to go in the bathroom. I buy a huge roll of cotton wool, break it up into little pieces then stuff them back in the plastic back it came in and hang it on a hook in the bathroom but it looks sooooo ugly. It defo needs a pretty bag :D

You know those strings that run through curtain tape? Well, when you've pulled them through, tied them and cut them off, the cut-offs make perfect wicks for candles. That's my tip - please pay attention cos I don't make discoveries like that very often :D

    Good Morning All.
Redruby - glad you know he's safe - now he needs to make some contact with you. Depression is a foul thing - both DH and DS suffer from it, so I know how helpless it makes everyone around feel. Take care of yourself in all this.
VickyA - like you, I expect the call from Ofsted very, very soon - it's appalling how much stress it puts us under. Rather makes you take your eye off the ball and forget that actually we're at school to educate and support the children, not tick boxes for inspectors! If only they and the DCSF would shut up and let us get on with our jobs the education system might be in a better, fit -for -purpose state. Sorry, rant over!
Went to early service today as DH needed my car to get to neighbouring village to play for their service. Towels blowing on the line - was sunny when they went out, now very grey again. Dough for rolls is nearly ready in BM. Must change and wash sheets. When DH gets back I need to visit Mr Ts. Roast pork for lunch. Out later for young instrumentalists' concert at church - we have some very talented young people so looking forward to that.
((HUGS)) to all who need one, especially Smokybabe and Redruby.

    Welcome MUMOFTWINS AND SQUIGGLEY

REDRUBY AND SMOKEY hugs to you.

I feel about as lively as a used teabag today. DS has been throwing up all night, doesn't seem to be able to keep water down as he has just thrown up again. Have spoken to a friend of mine and her two boys were also throwing up. We all met up on Friday and reckon it might have come from a local play area. I'm hoping he'll go to sleep soon as he's only had about three hours.

Off to put the washing on the line, another load is in. Shall just plod on like you do. Am glad I managed to fix his aerial, at least he can lie upstairs and watch TV in bed.

    Have a good day all.

morning, i'm just getting sorted to do some scrapbooking, but i also need to get outside and sort out the animals. Looks like it's sunny out there so should have saved some of yesterday's washing for today i guess.
  • Hi all! Big hugs to RedRuby and Smokey, PP, Donny-Gal, kyle and anyone else who's not feeling great.

It was lovely and sunny when I got up so I rushed outside and put a load of t shirts on the line - it's now clouded over and looking threatening so I suppose I'll have to rush out and get them in again

Got a loaf in the BM, everyone is fed and watered and I'm off for a shower in a minute. I have one of those charity bags to fill and have decided to chuck out all my pairs of old shoes today (just call me Imelda :rotfl: ) - since my accident a few years ago my foot and ankle swell horrendously in the heat and I can't wear most of them any more.

Tru, just a note of caution (sorry), if you cut off the strings you pull through the heading tape, you will not be able to unknot and straighten the curtains out again to wash them - depends on whether you're like me and constantly forget to clean them or not ;)

Not sure what we're eating today, I've got a bag of chopped up turkey out of the freezer (Christmas revisited) and will make something delicious out of that.

    Happy Sunday everyone.

    Morning all!

    Catowen :hello:

    anniestar:hello:

smoky - hope you get some better news today x

    (((hugs))) redruby

spoke to my sister just now via instant messaging - she's had a major row with Mum - they house share along with sisters partner and its not working out.My Mum is extremely hard work, never in the wrong etc and keeps interfering in their life. Sister is all set to move out - Mum wont be able to manage financially without them so dont know what will happen but it is Mums fault - how my sister puts up woth her I dont know. I get along ok with her mostly because I tend to let her have her own way - anything for a quiet life! I tend to be piggy ion the middle between them so no doubt I'll get a different story from Mum.

Anyway I'm off to work soon for an 11 hour shift:eek: going to cook them a nice roast lunch and also make a lemon drizzle cake for tea.

I hope you all have a lovely sunday

    take care x

    Morning all!

Haven't read the threads for a while so hope everyone's ok. (((HUGS))) to all those who want/need them.

I'm desperately trying to find a job at the mo. I had an interview last week and didn't get it but at least it gave me some practice cos I hadn't been interviewed for a few years. I've got a couple more applications to complete online later this eve. Also this eve have got a few bits of paperwork to go through ... also need to renew car ins and breakdown cover shortly so will look in to quotes. I intend (as I have done for about a year and a half :/) to start matched betting again this week so will read through the notes again before bed :)

Houseworks nearly finished ... just bathroom and dining room and mopping to go but we keep meaning to go to a local car boot so am going to go in a min and finish up when we get back.

We're all showered and nearly dressed and WM's on. Have some washing to sort out but am on top of ironing :)

Roast dinner for lunch and then s/w's for tea. While I'm in kitchen will make cake's for lunchboxes, weeks worth of s/w's and some jelly.

If the sun decides to pop out and say hello will take LO's to feed ducks and go to park.

Hope everyone has a great sunday :)

    Luv xx
