Sorry to here that, It may pay you to get credit references from one of the three credit agencies or even all three, it only costs £2 each. I do a different one each year but the first year I did all three.
If you have a Capitalone credit card you can get a free report today, I just done it after reading your last post.

Ok heres the latest: -
i phoned VirginMedia who asked for the customer number on the letters received, and she stated that it was in fact the old NTL accounts. so she went into them and started looking for a while and came back and said the two ammounts that i owed as stated on the letter from TSC, i got into quite a big debate and she just kept saying that the system showed that i owe them this money still, i explained that i had a lot of problems when it was still NTL and that eventually a manager said he'd sorted it out and cleared my accounts - her reply was that because there was no notes on the system to say i didn't owe this money then it meant i had to pay up as i was in debt to them, she asked if i wanted bank bills to prove this, and when i said yes she told me to wait while she spoke to her manager, after 4 or 5 mins she came back and said she would try and get these bills sent out but as they are quite old it maybe quite difficult to do. to which i replied well i am not paying anything unless i have a previous bill stating this, so she said she would get that done and tod me to contact TSC to inform them that i was awaiting a previous bill.
........ now i phone TSC
i spoke to a nice lady and explained the whole situation again and told her i had rang virgin with no luck what so ever. when i told her about the amount of people on these consumer sites that are also having these problems she agreed with me and said she was aware of a lot of people in the same position as me disputing the virginmedia payments. however she said as they are a debt collecting company she was unable to help as they are employed by VirginMedia to get this money back. i explained about the fact i was awaiting bills and she said she would note on the system this info and to call back in 7 to 10 days and if i still hadn't received bills then TSC would have to try and get them.
what are we to do????
i don't want to pay out £130 for a service that was settled 4 years back (or so i was told)0 -
Your agreement was with NTL not Virgin so how are they going to get NTL bills and send them to you?
My guess is they are as much in the dark as you are.0 -

NTL and Virgin Media are one and the same company - NTL simply rebranded as Virgin Media when they bought Virgin Mobile (for which they pay Richard Branson/VM an annual fee).
From other threads, it has taken a long time to integrate the NTL and Telewest systems into the new organisation, particularly billing apparently, but they should have access to the systems. If you have particular problems with VM, www.cableforum.co.uk can be a useful place to go as their forums include VM staff and they are helpful over there (like here, but Virgin Media specialists).

im really stuck, what do we do??
i don't want to have to pay out money that i was told verbally i don't owe!!
whats the best approach for me/us?0 -
My first approach would be to get them to send me written proof of what they say I owe, dates times etc in detail with a copy of your original agreement.
And I would request it in writing recorded delivery.
To pass you onto a debt collecting agency after 4 years without first asking you to pay the bill seems a little odd to me .0 -
Could it be that VM's churn is beginning to be a problem and they're looking to find extra income?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

I have sent them the letter, just waiting now to see if I hear anything back, which I suspect I wont. I did have similar(ish) situation before with another debt agency chasing me for £8k, it turned out it was someone that had been using my ID and had loads of money out in my name, BT bills and everything. Took ages to sort out, I wonder if this is more of the same, I hope not it made me really ill before.0

i have requested as said before the bills from virginmedia.
if they do not send these then whats my position??0
