Hi all, I wondered if any of you are planning any breaks, weekends or hoidays this year and how are you going to do it, DFW styley of course
.
I'm looking for some hints and tips as I would really like to get away but with *ahem* £43,000 worth of debt, I need a cunning but ingenious plan.;)
I am saving tesco points for potential days out which is probably the way it'll happen, I have the free family railcard that was on offer earlier on before christmas and then I suppose it'll be whatever train offers I can get hold of.
I also have some piggy vouchers from pigsback which could convert to meals out maybe and some left over vouchers from christmas.
We also have tons of camping gear so thats also an option.
Any other ideas?

last year we combined days out with days here and there away rather than a 'holiday'
we found a basic camp site for £9 a night middle of august!
we did slog out guts out scrimping months before to get together £600 for a trailer tent and hubby got half a £175 towbar for his birthday.
have you got kids? ages?
luv jacs:D0 -

do u have family/friends that live away from you?
You could either see if they will put you up for a few days or if they go away themselves you could offer to house-sit for them? Would only cost your travel then.
Or look out for the sun/other papers, magazines holidays for £9 odd. I did that last yr and had 4 nights in lovely caravan in Devon on a Haven site for just £45 when you added in the electricity/gas.
