yeah it does add up, especially as i liked to use their 1p fares last year to get from A to B in the UK via Dublin (Manc - Dub; Dub- London). Last year they didnt have the checkin fee at the airport so it costed literally 2p to get from A to B, but now it will cost me in region of £6. still not a bad world tho... i guess!
  • Can anyone help? i don't have a passport but have a provisional driving lisence if i pay extra can i use this? also i have a 4 year old daughter what id do i need for her,she has always wanted to go on a plane.

Your child will need a passport "Acceptable photo-ID for children under 16 is either a valid passport or a valid National Identity Card issued by an EEA country."

and as for provisional issue, guess it depends on where you're flying to but there's always been some sort of debate about provisional licence. for domestic flight, id say you'll be ok but my friend wasnt able to fly on provisional to ireland.

I would phone them up as you do not want any surprises at the airport. I know for a fact that Ryanair rules are much much stricter than BA
  • think i might email to check. it says children under 16 dont need id for domestic flights

This would be great as my son is always going on about going on a plane. I've had a look at the website for an idea of times and can do a day trip to Dublin but the question I would like answering is the airport i the middle of no where or is it easy to get to town/shops etc with in a time if we got there at 9am and flight home was 8.25pm.

Hopefully someone on here has done this and can help.

If you go, Ryanair will try and sell you excessively priced coach tickets on the plane. Think the coach is called Terravision. Don't buy. At the tourist info in the arrivals hall, you can buy a Dublin Rambler bus ticket This costs 6 euro's for an adult. Takes about 25 minutes to the city. Very regular and reliable when we went and you have the advantage of being able to hop on and off all day.

So who else is sat there, dates all ready in the flight checker ...fingers at the ready :D
  • Lots of prices have gone up too. Last week I priced up flying stansted to france. Didn't know about the "update". Now prices are up £15-£20 each way so guess I won't be flying to France this summer :( So about £150 extra for four of us!

Ever wish you could turn back time!
