bread machine owners...do they make you fat?

I don't have a bread machine, I just use my Kenwood Chef to make bread and I'm busy arguing with myself about whether I need /want one.
The question is, if you have this willing machine ready 24 hours a day, and it's dead easy to produce all sorts of yeasted high calorie stuff, do you end up eating more bready things than if you bought them and consequently put on weight?
edit.....
I have really, really got to concentrate more when posting here ----this was supposed to be a new thread
so maybe Squeaky could move this when he's finished laughing, either that or he could just leave it to embarass me
forever
edited again - the first edit was because I put this in the middle of someone elses thread

I eat more bread since I bought mine - 1) because it tastes 20 million times tastier and 2) We eat it all instead of throwing it away because it had gone off . Then, because the bread is fresh and perfect it would be an insult to sully it with low- fat spread and therefore only butter will do. Also, as it makes jam, there's that to consider because I never bought jam. However, whilst eating the bread/toast and butter/jam - I haven't got room for the chocolate.0

Well, I reckon Old Style has a tendancy to make you fat
It's a case of all this lovely food we make just has to be eaten, with second helpings. Pre OS I rarely made a pud during the week, but now when I see plums or rhubarb etc going cheap, I think 'that'll make a nice crumble'
Now, my new breadmaker - well, I've had to test it out to make sure it works. The fruity bread is to die for, the cakes are scrummy and as I had too many strawbs to make it worthwhile doing the jam in the breadmaker, I did do those in a pan. However, I have a punnet of raspberries DS1 has decided he doesn't want to eat, so jam they will become. Mr TM is away a lot this month so I haven't made too many loaves - I hate waste and I am trying not to eat too much. I will make another one tomorrow though.
I actually eat really healthily most of the time - loads of fruit and veg and lean meat/chicken. My downfall is cakes/biccies and now puddings and then just eating too much because it's sooooo lovely. Anyone got a willpower machine in their pantry, I seem to have lost mine
Actually - just re-read your title. Do bread machine owners make you fat? Answer - yes, because we make such lovely food which we insist on feeding you (ourself)0 -
Only if you shove it up your jumper?0

It's very tempting to have HM bread sliced an inch thick, toasted and spread thickly with butter yum yum. Since I got my new breadmaker that's been my downfall. I've realised however, that there's nothing money saving about getting only six slices to a loaf, so I hunted out my Lakeland Evenslice, and we get tons more slices now! I always save the end pieces for toasting and buttering. Chef's treat!0

I'd say a BM is high risk gadget
I have to keep away from breads/biscuits/cakes/flapjacks etc., even though I can only eat wheat-free versions, because 1 is never enough.

One loaf at a sitting is usually enough for me

As a singleton I sometimes (esp with the whole wheat bread ) slice up a loaf (using a slicer) and freeze it in wee bags at 2 slices per bag....just ideal for me!!!0

Make the crumbles and then freeze them for later. Go on, I dare you0 -
Perhaps there is a connection - my mother says that since she bought her bread machine she has become more "traditionally built" which makes me giggle every time :-)Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0
