  • Thanks TangledMemories,
I do sometimes wonder when i will get a break as life has been pretty !!!!!! since childhood! But then i wouldnt change my husband or son for anything, even if it meant me having to go through it all again.

We tried the lottery as a wedding present! we asked people to get a ticket or 2 for us, as by the time i met my husband i had put a house together with the basics for my son and i, so we felt we didnt wanna ask anyone for anything, we had £60 worth for the saturday draw (got married on a friday as it was cheaper!!) and you know not one of them came in a winner!!
    Pants huh!

Thanks so much everyone for the support and kind words, it means a lot :happyhear

Not a problem hun. I'm playing Euromillions every other week. For some reason, every other week I win something. Most I've ever won is £17.50. Better than a kick in the teeth!
;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)

  • If you have a CCJ and your debt is under £5k you could go for an admin order

  • Hi Digitalsgirl,
Wow,i thought i had problems until i read your heart rendering thread.
I can only repeat earlier posters comments about CAB. If you can speak to a good advisor i am sure they can point you in the right direction.
Looks like you and hubby are very supportive of one another and this will,i am sure, be a great source of strength for you both as you get back on your feet. You can do it together,
    Good luck, Telboy99:beer:

Hi digitalsgirl and loving hubby! Don't forget to put a full SOA on, it will help us all to be able to help you much better as it makes it far easier to "read". Put EVERYTHING, including Birthdays, Christmas and any little things too. As everyone has already said; hang on in there and remember - after all the stormy clouds have had their time - the blue will soon enough follow behind. I know it sounds easy and almost glib put like that, but in time things will get sorted out so long as you're both determined to stand by each other and fight on with heads held high. You've had a h**l of a rough trot but you have one huge asset ~ LOVE, the love of a wonderful hubby and your darling Son. Take good care digitalsgirl and keep looking to the future and..... don't forget that SOA. Love and prayers, Sue.

  • :p Hey everyone,

Im no where near as good as my wife (digitalsgirl) at this which is why i let her do it, so you'll all be happy to know my posts are a LOT shorter_party_

Just really wanted to say again thankyou to everyone, its nice to know that there are still some nice people in the world.

I know digitalsgirl said earlier how she cant work, and just thought i would quickly explain why im not working either....

I was signed off for stress and depression way back in September 06, mainly because im a computer engineer i used to work for companies like Dell, IBM, Fujitsu, lexmark and loads of government contracts like Defra

Basicly long story short my Boss decided that i was very good at my job, but also decided that a normal week of 7 days wasn't enough so tried to get me to do 3 days work in 1 day all the time, which culminated in me going a bit bonkers.

Faced with a job of uninstalling 500+ printers, and replacing them while not taking an active site offline at any point which was going to take 3 days (only 3 man team of which i was the boss) and some of the printers were 4 man lift 240lb uber printers.

Then was told that i had to be 300miles away for day two and three installing another 200 printers, while also doing the 500+ at the same time.

It was starting to effect my mood big time and i was getting very stroppy with my lovely wife, and it wasn't fair saw the doc got signed off and hey presto (so you would think)

However to top things off i started getting pain in my knee's when going up and down stairs, yet again long story short basically doctors have no idea why but there is something wrong with both knee caps behind the knee cap which makes it very painful to squat down, do stairs etc, so still waiting for news on that.

And finally i have had a hearing problem since i was very young, had grommits 4 times in both ears and now both ear drums are very scarred, decided to say to doc who referred me to speciallist who has said i need something doing as my hearing is now at 70% loss, which makes life very frustrating, would love to have hearing aids, but of course the wonderful NHS is slower than a dead snail in superglue.

So there you have it..... Im not entirely useless....im just in need of repair

Thankfully i do have Digitalsgirl to look after me, although i wish i could do more to look after her, she is a totally amazing woman and if ever there was someone who could do with a break its her.

Oh well, sorry everyone i kinda said it wouldn't be a long post but looks like i managed to twitter on as i usually do.

    Thanks again everyone

  • Hi everyone

Thanks GG for your post but bankruptcy is not something we would consider, not because i think there is anything bad in it, after all I helped my mother in law with her bankruptcy last year, it was her only way out at 60 and in £50k worth of debt:rolleyes: , but for our small amount, i dont think it would be worth it, especially as we rent our home and on the off chance of being asked to leave again in the future, it would limit our already tight choices of landlords willing to rent to us, as you wouldnt believe how many people say no children, no pets, no benefits, all of which we have! :wall:

Also once this is sorted...someday over the rainbow, i would like us to own our own home, :) and bankruptcy tends to put mortgage companies off, even if it is in the past.

We are going to look at the admin order thing, but i dont think we have a ccj....yet!;)
or does a council tax bill going to court count???

anyway i will be doing that list of out/in goings tomorrow, but am seeing a cafcass officesor in the morning to do with my little one and him not wanting to see fu*kwit (as we refer to the ex!) so wish me luck....:undecided
I am off to floor now! so wish i could say bed! :rotfl:
 BIG Thank you to Competition posters & the person who created the "entered" button!

Well....at a very immediate practicality level. Your comment re "going off to floor" - as opposed to bed. How about Freecycle - maybe someone there has a bed or - at any rate - mattress they are giving away for free? That would be one problem solved.

In fact - little helper hand here - would anyone living in Cornwall who reads this and has a bed/mattress going spare in good condition (and the means to transport it to destination) leave a message on here stating whereabouts in Cornwall they are and how far they could transport it please? (You never know - you might have that bed by the end of the day if we're in luck on this one).
