PCS Sales Ltd

I ordered a Nintendo DS game from gamefilm.co.uk on the 8th Feb through google checkout. 10 Days later I emailed the company to ask why it hadn't been dispatched and when I would be getting it. Their website says that they answer emails usually within two hours, but I didn't get an answer.

I looked on the website and found their phone number. I tried phoning them about 10 times during the day on Tuesday and again today but they didn't answer the phone. I also emailed them another three times with no answer.

Finally I lost patience with them and sent them a message through Google telling them to cancel my order immediately. I also reported them to Google as they could have gone bust for all I knew.

About an hour later I got a reply through google saying 'Order cancelled at customers request' with NO apology!

What a sham outfit these guys are. I noticed on their website that have 4 different names (PCS Sales Ltd, PCI Express Shop, Memory Direct UK and Game & Film) and their 4 websites all look identical.

Has anyone else dealt with these cowboys?

On a brighter note, I did get a very quick response from Google telling me that my credit card would not be charged.

    Ive never heard of them but looking at their website they seem like a good company,
    Did you ring their order line number? When i have problems i always ring order lines, people answer those numbers quicker!

  • I didn't see that number anywhere. All I could see was the VOIP number but they didn't answer that one at all.

    That number is off their other site the PCS sales site

    Ring up with your order number and they would deal with it I guess, it will be the same computer systems and office that you ring anyway
  • All their sites have the same address and phone number but it's too late, their lack of customer service has cost them a customer.

    I would avoid this lot like the plague!

    Andrew Douse of PCS Sales Ltd promised me my money back 2 months ago and I have still not received it. Now they ignore my emails altogether and I have been forced to persue them via trading standards :mad:

  • I'm now in the same situation, ordered £140 worth of hard drive with next day delivery and have nothing 7 days later. No reply from either phone number and only an email came back saying:

    Dear Customer,
    We are currently experiencing a high level of demand and will be answer your enquiry within 48 hours.

    Since seeing this thread I too have contacted trading standards who inform me that the company is still trading, they told me to write to them demanding my good or my money back, if they do not comply then it will have to be brought up in county court.
    Unfortunately I've already parted with the money and because it was a debit card payment my bank can't do anything to recall the money.

    I'll post any news as I get it...
  • i bought a PS3 off them a couple of weeks ago and he is not answering any of my emails reply came back that he was understaffed but took the tel number off the website did manage to get a mobile number for the guys dad off the internet but he said that he is always pestered by irrate customers and that Andrew usally sorts it. sounds to me like i'm going to struggle getting my money back does anyone know if the address in tunbridge wells is a phisical shop or just were the company is addressed to?
  • I too have been having problems with this company since January. I am still persuing a refund and it is looking highly unlikely that I am going to get it. I have now been told that he is having cash flow problems and that I need to contact my bank for a refund - absolute rubbish! I consider myself relatively 'lucky' that my order was for a small amount. I have contacted Trading Standards and threatened court action all to no avail. This company should NOT be allowed to trade - I find it so depressing that others are also in the same situation and no one seems to be doing anything to help.
  • I ordered guitar hero III from this guy 3 weeks ago, but got the feeling there was something wrong. He still hasn't told me what the status of my order is, and when I asked for a refund, he told me it would take four weeks.

    I've now asked for an immediate refund, before I contact trading standards, but I'm not holding out much hope after reading this thread...

    I'll post back if anything changes.

    I too ordered from this disgusting excuse for a company.

    On the 8th February i ordered Guitar Hero III and the Les Paul Stand-a-lone Guitar for £86.50. Clicked order and then waited for a confirmation email as promised by their site, no email arrived at my home address so after an hour I emailed their Customer Services address and within an hour I got a reply from Amanda. I was very impressed as their site said within 2 Hours. However their reply told me that the items were out of stock and would be dispatched upon arrival. Then 2 days later £86.50 went from my bank account, no notification of any thing being dispatched from Gamefilm. So I emailed them to enquire if it had been sent. No reply after 3 hours, so I sent another and another same result no reply. So I tried to ring no answer, yep they have got my money now and now they ignore you. I emailed Andrew Douse and he too ignored my emails until I explained that I had got read receipts for the emails I had sent to him. He then replied with the following quote “Your order will be dispatched next week if it hasn’t been dispatched already". Well I still haven’t got my order or my money back.

    I have had to get in touch with Kent trading Standards; they have been advising me on what to do to get my hard earned cash back. They told me to email and cancel my order and then put it in writing recorded delivery; they would then have 30 days by law to give me a refund. 30 days have been and gone and no refund has been forthcoming. They just ignore the distance selling regulations. I have even quoted their own terms and conditions to them but they don’t care, these include that after 28 days you will have your order or your money back. But the one that gets me the most is that if there is any problem you agree to enter into dialogue to sort out the problem. I WANT to enter into dialogue it’s DOUSE and his rubbish company that WON’T enter into any dialogue.

    Kent Trading Standards have now advised me to send another final written demand for a refund and if it isn’t forthcoming I will then be forced to go down the small claims court route. That letter should have arrived with the crook today, so I will update this post later to let you all know if it helped any but I doubt it will.

    That is the reason I am here to try and find out as much as I can about this crook and his company, as I am now in the process of filling out the form and evidence to pursue a claim through court. Even explaining that the items were for my son’s 10th birthday on the 2nd March didn’t even mean anything to this lowlife. Didn’t have the decency to apologize.

    I have read his post but sorry it is not my fault that your company performance is so poor that all your customers want their money back, so due to this you can only give a refund when you rip someone else off. You really are beyond the lowest, you should be stopped from trading because you just don’t have a clue & how you can even say

    “look forward to working with your selves towards the common goal of running a successful ecommerce offer competitive prices and excellent quality products and customer service.”

    You don’t even know the first thing about it, try giving us our hard earned money back before you try and tempt new customers with false promises. But it looks to me that it is sheer greed that drives you on and not like your claim Customer Service & Satisfaction.

    Then perhaps my son can have proper Birthday present from play.com

    Please do yourself a favour DO NOT BUY OFF THIS CROOK :mad:
