For the OP - you asked for thoughts so here are mine! Anyway, I'd say, go for it before your reach your mid 30s, when female fertility starts to drop and the risk of miscarriage increases.MTC's NO MORE PIES MEMBER NO 202 !!!

I was 27 when we started ttc, I just imagined I would get pregnant straight away as my sister seemed to mention the word "BABY" and she would get pregnant. I finally had my DS when I was 30. Those 3 years were very hard as people around me were getting pregnant and I wasn't.
35 isn't old (I'm actually 35!!!!) but as other people have mentioned, you don't know until you start ttc how long it will take.
Best of luck with whatever you decide. One word of warning, make the most of your sleep now!!!!!0 -
My Mum was 6 months off her 40th birthday when I was born.
There are pro's and con's to being an older Mum, you have a wealth of experience that younger mums won't have, but possibly not the energy or patience. Sadly my Mum died three years ago, she was nearly 84, I feel like I've been robbed when people who are 10 or 20 years older than me still have their mums (the downside of being older when you give birth).
I wouldn't leave it too long, but I don't think 35 is too old, not by a long chalk.:wave:0 -

Best of luck - DS#1 was a Clomid baby. (And #2 was conceived naturally, as soon as we started trying - pregnancy sorted out the hormone issues for me).
BTW, if you don't suceed this month (although fingers crossed you will) but you are definitely ovulating, have you thought about IUI?They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Hugs to you. You and I are similar age then. I was 41 when my mum died (last year) and she was only 67, thought I would have her for much longer than that. Unfortunately, we never know how long we have them for.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0
