yee haaa a day off at last!
just doing some loads of washing before I go out to visit an old auntie. will do some shopping on way home. (as little as possible - too much month left at the end of the money)

Well, back again hopefully on a permanant basis(fingers crossed) Got the service back a week last Thursday(after a week) numerous phone calls one friday, ("yes we are aware of the problem and are working on it") sat, 7.am "we are working on the problem and will have service restored within 24 hours which means you will have your internet back tonight " sat 9.45pm, "we know the service is not working as it should!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (Me)"its not working at all" "we know that so its not working as it should you see! But I can assure you that at 9am tomorrow you will be re connected" Guess what no connection sunday at all(phone calls at 1pm when I was told that without a doubt the connection would be up and running by 9pm and one at 9.45pm-can you guess what i was phoning about:rotfl: )Phone calls monday=2 internet connection=0 Tuesday phone calls =3:mad: Wed phone calls=2:mad: :mad: :mad: Thursday I had decided to not bother as I was feeling pretty low but decided what the heck I may as well have my daily rant(I LOVE being told that I am not the only person affected by this:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: ) had a delightful man who actully tried to help me anyway, as you know we got the connection back thursday evening:j :j :j :j :j DH was off school on Friday (half term although given that they were 2days late going back due to heating problems not sure whay the extra day was still taken) and he spent a lot of time trying to sort the exam stuff-this year there are new SATS providers and we had to re register online for the work of course we missed the deadline with the burn out and then the tiscali high jinks seems to be ok thankfully. Sat, sun ,mon ,tue,some connection but kept being shut down:mad: :mad: :mad: Wed went to one of my fave places in the entire world ILPH Penny Farm:T :T had a wonderful time with the beautiful horses and got a great big slobbery cuddle:j :j :j Saw that ship on its side in Cleavleys(sp) nad didn't even think about the computer. Things seem to be working ok now thankfully. Went to town to get my hair cut and am not too happy with it will contact him tomorrow and get it re done have been going to him for ages and even though he is very expensive(dont ask!!:rotfl: ) the cuts are fantastic(well normally:rotfl: )and well worth it. Have got an ridiculious ammount of work to do today got loads of emails to sort and need to do some planning for my new clients, a delightful family that have just decided to home school and want a few started lessons. Am going to have a "old style day" soon am going to sit down with a a4 pad, a cup of coffee(large!!) and some decent music(guess who???????:rotfl: ) and catch up on everyone.

I am getting used to being on holiday this week, am laying in later and later each day, housework is still being done but not to my usual standard , will have a good deep clean next week once DD is back at school, we are really having a good fun week, spening lots of girlie times together, the cleaning can wait!

Got gammon steaks for tea with wedges, and might do stir fry, DD and I are off to town for a wander round, (she NEEDS to get new makeup :rolleyes: ) and I think I will grab us something delish for lunch and settle down with:rolleyes: a dvd for the afternoon.

Kathy I watched the programme about the little girl too, she was so beautiful, I am glad it all went well for her.

Well better be off and do a little bit, have good days all xx

you must live near me then, ive only seen the photos in the paper i cant be bothered to go and look as it will only wind me up how much of 'our' money they are wasting!:mad: . While you are in the city be careful of all the road works wont you, they still seem to be on the permanent loop of laying then ripping up eaver increasingly expensive forms of block paving

well i got my first lie in of the half term til 7:15am :j
by then the brats had decided that they wanted feeding AGAIN lol its getting ridiculous they want feeding everyday at least 3 times a day :rotfl:
anyhoo i feel great now ive slept, the brats are doing their chores (slave driver that i am) then they are having their first attempt at making twink hob nobs with me hovering at their shoulders and reigning myself in so i dont take over
then we are amking some more pasties, coz the ones we made yesterday got scoffed so will be making double so hopefully some will make it to the freezer

I'm just popping in to say hi and will be having a bath soon as I ache and have a hideous headache!
Got loads to do so that's probably why I have such a headache.... am feeling slightly nauseous with it and my spine is a bit iffy, so am going to take a migraine tablet and see how I go. As long as I get what I can done, and then on Friday and Sunday OH can help out and perhaps we can get some painting done.

I'm not cooking tonight and then tomorrow we are Nephew-sitting-wish us luck!

Aussie Lass for the impossible pie you had the ingredients all together mix and put it in the oven and the pastry makes itself!! That sounds amazing !! I would try it but am on a diet will have to calorie count it to see.

I am putting off paperwork and washing at the moment - will have to stir myself. I read this thread quite often, but don't often post. I mostly read when I need a kick up the bum to do something as the amount everyone fits in is amazing and it makes me motivated!

Well I've done the supermarket shop today, trying desperately to keep the bills down but they keep on going up and up :mad: . I've been running the freezer stocks down and almost have nothing left in it so needed to stock up today. Yesterday I made soup from the remains of the veggies in the fridge so needed those too.

I've just finished cleaning upstairs and will be going out for a well-deserved (:rotfl: ) lunch with friends in a moment. This afternoon DD and I are going to check out the garden centre in search of Mother's Day presents for my mum and MIL, they are the world's most impossible people to buy for.

Would I lie. No that's what happens. It's not a pastry base. It's more of a firm shell. You will just have to make it and see for yourself.

MrsMoneyPenny I don't think the recipe is down here. But boil 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon syrup & 1 tablespoon butter. Make a dough of - 1 cup SR flour rubbed in with 1 tablespoon butter, 1 egg & enough milk. Put spoonfuls of dough into boiling syrup mixture and simmer for about 20 mins with the lid on.
