Seller wants feedback withdrawn

HIya,

I bought a second hand mobile on ebay. Nothing fancy, stated it was unlocked no sim card, so quite cheap.
Seller send a message after 5 days saying she would post the following tuesday.
A week later, I enquired aboiut the phone and she claimed it had beens ent. On receiving it I noticed it was sent the day after my message.
When it arrived it turned out the phone was locked to a network and she had sent the wrong charger.
My OH's charger works with it so I have charged it, but I can't use the phone as I haven't yet managed to unlock it.

I didn't really want to deal with her again, so left a neg stating the fcats.
Now she is asking via ebay to withdraw the neg, which was her first (out of 124)
I feel like I have a good reason for it.
Would you remove it?

If she refunds you maybe, has she left you feedback?

She did leave a positive feedback the day after I paid.
She hasn't contacted me at all since it arrived, so never any offer of a refund.
My view is that she wasted both my time and my money....
  • did you contact her before leaving the neg to tell her the problems?

    No I admit I didn't.
Since she had already lied about sending the phone, I didn't think there was much point discussing the options.

I'd leave the neg as clearly they've lied several times, otherwise they'll only screw over someone else.
  • you say she has wasted your money so i would give her one last chance to refund you fully (including return postage costs) and tell her you will then remove the neg.

if you really dont want to remove the neg open a dispute for item not described (assuming you paid by paypal), you will have to return it at your own cost though

The amount is really small, hence I didn't want to start a useless ebay procedure.

Nice to see that sellers are being given a fair crack of the whip with problem resolution then.

This is sellers; biggest concern about the new feedback changes - ignorant and inconsiderate buyers leaving poor feedback without prior communication. And people still wonder why sellers wait for feedback from the buyer efore leaving theirs?

I would have negged you by return for poor communication and inappropriate use of feedback. Would you have liked that?

Instead you thought it would be appropriate to screw around with a sellers trading history.

    How nice of you.

Isn't that the whole point of feedback though? Why was it inappropriate to warn others of his/her experience? Also think the word ignorant was quite harsh & very rude considering the situation!!
