Oh dear.... I picked up the parcel from the post office and opened it to check everything was there. The bridesmaids dresses look ok when held up, but my dress is awful. I'm so numb at the moment I haven't cried yet but when it sinks in, there will be floods of tears later. I was going to wait til Thursday when I can try it on but I took out it just now to have a look, and I don't like it one bit. I know it might look different when it's on but there are some things that won't change.

The colour is darker than the sample I was sent and agreed to, it goes straight across at the top instead of sweetheart neckline (I said the other day I didn't think they'd took any notice of me pointing it out), the detail is awfully done and is sequins instead of beads, and has embroidery in a dark colour when there isn't ANY on the dresses I sent pics of, there are fixed folds/ruffles across the torso which I specifically asked to not have, I asked for beading down the sides of the lacing panel and there isn't any, the train is about twice as long as I requested (a BIG problem for me as I'm only 5 foot tall). Also, it only looks like it laces up down to my mid-back, when I asked for it to go all the way down to my hips so it can pull me in all the way down.

I can't believe it, I really can't, my heart is in my stomach at the thought of having to find the money for another dress, I don't even think I could sell this on ebay to recoup some of the money as it's so poorly made I'd be embarrassed to give it to someone. The whole weddings on a tight budget, we work all the hours we can to pay for the wedding so I don't know where more can come from to get another dress.

I keep thinking maybe if I try it on, it will look better, but to be honest, nothing will change the poorly done detail even if it fits beautifully.

Ok, tears kicking in now, so best get on. Such a sad end to my story!! I think the only thing to do is email them (I still have the original emails asking for certain things and their emails agreeing to them) and point out all the things that are not right and perhaps ask for some sort of refund. It wasn't through ebay so won't be able to get any back I don't think. Aaaaaarrrggggghhhh.

honeypop, i really feel for you, you must be devastated. Is it really different from what you asked for? Because there should be someway of getting your money back, or a new dress? Maybe when you try it on you may feel different, it took me a few goes of trying it on before i liked mine, i was shocked and numb when i first saw mine.

Anyway (((big hugs))) honeypop, and i hope you get it sorted, please keep us updated, take care

if you paid by paypal do a chargeback immediately - or if you paid by your credit card you can reclaim the money from them.

what a disappointment for you, I am so sorry.

honeypop, I'm so sorry this has happened to you. When is your wedding love and what size are you? Mine is in two weeks and I'm also 5 foot tall so maybe I can help you out?

Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry that you're disappointed. I'd like to offer my help on the dress front as well. Our wedding is 5th July, I'm 5 ft 2, roughly size 14 and my dress is an 'homage' to Mori Lee style 2106 - very flattering for tummies, chapel train, some beading on the side. Let me know if this is of interest and we can get you sorted.

Have you emailed them to tell them you are in tears about it? Don't foget to take photos of the dress just to make sure you have the proof. There's still time to get it sorted out.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

Nooooooooo! I can't even imagine how you must be feeling.

How long have you got before the wedding?
What sort of style are you looking for?

Am sure we can come up with something even if you just need someone to shout at.

    Hugs x

    Hi all,

have just been catching up with all the highs and lows of the thread as I have not been on for a while, Honeypop what a devastating dissapointment for you, I really feel for you, I hope you have enough time to get it sorted xx.

Really sorry for hanging everyone out with the pics of my dress but I still don't have any, I had not tried the dress on again until last week when I took it in to have some alterations done and must say I am still so pleased with it apart from needing some pull it all in undies, the lady from the bridal shop where I am having the alterations done could not believe how little I had paid but she did say they she had had a few dresses in that where bought from china that were not very nice but she loved mine (so do I) and mum was nearly in tears to. I have got to go back in when she gets the dress back from being altered to try on so at some stage will get pic I promise, sorry am really not holding out on you all have just been very bogged down lately:o .
