I can't wait for your dress to come wither honeypop, I wanna see pics of it! What made you choose gold?
A friend of mine is having hers in gold but she tells everyone it's dark ivory because they all pull a face when she says gold... She has light red (strawberry blonde) hair and the gold complements it rather than making it glow orange...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Fantastic combo. That's the beauty of having them made. You get what you want.
It's so exciting when people's dresses arrive!0 -
Well I knew I didn't want white or ivory, initially I was looking at deep red dresses and my mum kept screwing up her nose when I tried them on, and I also wondered if I'd ever look back and wish I went for something more traditional so I tried on some more 'normal' dresses with red detail. Unfortunately these only came in white/ivory as the main colour and it look awful against my skin and I felt drained, so I tried some light gold dresses and fell in love!
Unfortunately all the dresses I liked didn't come in the right colour and of all the gold ones I found, I didn't 100% love the dress design/shape etc. AA1136 was closest in design to what I wanted in the end (which was very different to what I set out to buy, isn't that always the way!?) but after so long looking for the dress I settled with that one, enquired with Landy about getting it made, then saw the pic of the other dress and liked the look of it more, although they are quite similar.
Went to try both on again to make a decision and found that I preferred the front of the Maggie - lower fitting on the hips, no ruffles across the midriff, more plain down the front of the skirt... and preferred the back of the other - some sparkle down the sides of the lacing, and detail on the back of the skirt that won't get hidden when it's hooked up in the evening. Another check with Landy and yes she can combine the 2 dresses into what I wanted and in gold.
I am quite nervous about it arriving, especially as I explained that although it doesn't show in the picture, the neckline of the Maggie is same as the AA1136, and I was concerned they'd copy the picture on the link and make it straight across which is what it looks like fromthe angle of the pic, and I'm not sure they took that on board, so I have to wait and see.
My bridesmaids dresses should be in the same parcel, so also anxious about those too!! They are http://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo?album_id=50912306&photo_id=1463213430 they got to wear the red in the end!0 -
I'm sure they will of read about the neckline. I really love the sweetheart neckline too... My dress is straight across the front today and with the right bra on underneath I looks pretty goodA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... There must be hundreds of that dress worn every week!
If it was me I'd be flattered that it looked so gorgeous that everyone wanted one - and was a real MSE bargain of course.
Will you post pics when you get it? Will be great to see how the same dress looks on someone else.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
