Why don't we have one of our polls about this, with the different ideas?
Ban them
Only post them a couple of days in advance
Make one thread per month (comps ending March) and everyone posts them in there
Just to say I've decided to cut down on my comping time so i won't be using the comps ending threads anymore anyway, but I really think some people find great value in them and if we find a way that it doesn't cause anyone else any grief, why can't they continue?

Kirsteen I think that's a great idea - is it possible to have a poll or have the powers that be had the final say & that's it?2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

Yes ... i'm in favour for a poll0

ANYONE can create one of those (look for the option when you post a new thread directly into the Competitions Time pages) but I would suggest getting the board guide's permission first. Otherwise it might just get deleted on you.
To be honest though after all the headbashing I've endured over this matter I'm not sure even a poll would be welcomed. Though of course I have supported on the idea for some time.“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
I also posted the following response on a thread earlier which got merged with the discussion thread:so what is trying to be said is there would be a thread for comps ending in march, then one for april etc
what happens half way through the month do half the posts get deleted that are out of date
to be honest I like the forums just the way they are, all the posts are there and if you want to search by closing date people have said a rough way how to, I know some people find the threads good but I dont use them so cant really commentWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
For those of you like me who are going to miss the competitions ending threads .......I've just found a way to search for the end dates. On Google enter the end date in the format used on here, for instance E:29/02. One or two results for this forum should turn up. Then click on "More results from forums.moneysavingexpert.com" (which should be at the bottom of the search)
Once again thanks to all the people who did competitions ending dates, I for one found them very useful and I know a lot of hard work went into producing them. :T
This is great and much easier than going through all the messages!

The google search works well
I did a search for E:24/02 and got these results

I can't understand why you can't take no for an answer though, a decision has been made and I very much doubt it can be swayed

That did work well. I never relised you had to put the site in as well. No wonder it didn't work for me before. Thanks KipperMy light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -
Not sure if this has been mentioned before - so apologies if it has.
I did the google search by just putting E: 20/3 in. I thought it worked well until I opened the first message and the competion closed on 20/03/2007!! There were even some in 2005 and 2006!
