Evening everyone. We baked hundreds of biscuits!!! I got a choc biscuit recipe off OS somewhere! Halved it, made 25 biscuits. Then we made anzac's biscuits also off here, made about 40!!! Only prob was I didn't have brown sugar so subbed with castor. Once I tried them realised castor is sweeter than brown! I've been flying for hours!!!!
Done most of the lists for the last 3 days except the comp area!!! I know I know but it will be done tomorrow. Left the oven till Fri/Sat night as need to soak the shelves in bag things and really couldn't face it after all that cooking, bread cooked too. dd1 loves my hm bread, made the lunches for tom, cleared the kitchen again!!!
Now going to hang shower curtain back up and then off to bed.
DH SHOULD be home fri teatime. He works offshore and will have been away 2½ weeks by then so he better be home. Girls are really starting to miss him now. Me too obviously!
Good luck all with your mission tomorrow, if you are desperate for any help PLEASE let me know and I will willing leave work and come and help. Really don't want to go in tomorrow, all this OS cooking, cleaning, tips and stuff really makes me want to give up work and be PROPER wife and mum!!! If only we could win the lottery!!
Good night everyone, hope those with tinys get more sleep tonight.Need to sort my life out! :T0 -
Pink Fairy - re the laptop you might find the insurance people may try and get it mended only to find it would have been cheaper to just provide you with a replacement, and then give you the replacement but make your claim seem like the cost of tryng to fix it plus the cost of a new one IYSWIM. This happened to us a couple of years ago, we got a replacement digital camera worth about £200 but the claim was allegedly for £3000. We are still arguing about it with them as they have bumped up our premiums accordingly
Laptops have come down a lot and you can get one for a couple of hundred, you might find its cheaper for yourself to buy one rather than pay the excess and the amount the premium goes up. The pain would be moving stuff over etc.
Angelmummy - welcome and good luck. Just do short bursts dont burn yourself out on the first week
galant - :T :T :T woo hoo well done keep it up :T :T Does that mean in 2.5 days you would have spent £18.88 on fags ????   What are you going to do with all the extra cash ??Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Lil_me our dog loves tyres, he won't even look at the tyres unless the car is switched on. As soon as the car started i have to take off down the lane like a blue a**ed fly and even then he's got his head near the tyre, biting lumps out of it. kiwk fit was very amused yesterday to see the tyres and asked what was attacking them  . The dog is now left in the house when we leave.
Heres a picSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
shell - if I were you I wouldnt do the work for the lady whether paid or not or anything. A one off to get out of an awkward situation will set you up for them asking you more. If its going to have an adverse effect on your family then you shouldn't feel bad about putting your family before her. You are not putting yourself first, you are thinking of your whole family - grumpy tired Mummy does not a harmonious home make. Even if she is nice and gets your girls wee pressies it doesnt mean you need to be doing paid work for her.
I'm sure if you explain that it just isn't right for you at this moment in time she will understand. You could also make a point of saying "dont keep the position open for me as I dont really know if or when I would be in a position to help out". You could wimp out and say you checked with oh and he isnt happy with you doing it at all .....Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
