  • Hi all

Just flying in briefly before I go and do some more work. At home today, so can do a bit of flying when I take a PC break!

    Hello to all Newbies!!!

Re: the tragedy of my broken laptop - does anyone know how much it would cost for the LCD screen to be replaced? I'm thinking of claiming on the house insurance as it would only cost the excess.

I've sort of lost the plot a bit wiht flying this week. My sister only stopped one night as she had forgotten her mobile, couldn't remember other people's numbers and they bhadn't got mine! I thought she'd learned her lesson with that (she' the eldest of the three of us) when Dad died. That was on the Saturday, and I finally got hold of her on the Monday when I called her school and ask the head to pull her out of class. She never was gifted with common sense thought.

    Anyway, dailies done:

    SS kitchen - done
    CP on - done

    right HHC here I come.
  • I've been looking for motivation to do the housework and at last I think I've found it. Have looked at the Flylady website several times in recent years but have never managed to do anything often enough for it to become a routine.

My biggest problem is that I turn the PC on an before I know it half the day's gone and I'm beating myself up for not doing anything.

So I printed Wednesdays list off last night so that I could get going as soon as I got up, quite pleased with what I've done so far:

Whitening Wednesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    [/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Sweep and mop floors[/strike]
[strike]Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
    [/strike]
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean out the cupboard full of pasta and packets and pickles..
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those filters and drawers for ickiness, gackiness and fluff!!
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and [STRIKE]shine those taps[/STRIKE].. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Clean oven if it really needs it.. or just do the [STRIKE]hob[/STRIKE] or a knob!!.. mines gross.. you need to shame me into cleaning it!
    • 29 fling boogie.. GO!
    • Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET
Have also made the bed, aired the bedroom and remembered to get the shepherds pie out of the freezer for tonights dinner

Now off to walk the dog then get ready for work.

Let's hope I can keep the momentum going
