    Right girlywhirlies,

It's nearly time for me to go to my planning day at head of year's house, so it looks like I'm not going to be able to fly til I get home, as it'll take me a while to load up the car with all of the marking I've got to take with me.

    Happy flying everyone,

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Thanks for the pizza idea guns :D
When I suggested a jug of squash friend 1 gave me a bit of a look and said "I thought we were doing froot shoots". We didn't get any further with the conversation as one of the kids dissolved into tears (oh, for the days when I could actually hold a conversation in the day!!). Her hubbie works for tescos, so she gets a discount, and I think it's just as it would be easier to put the individual drinks down on the table before the kids get there rather than filling up little cups of squash from one big jug.
  • OK having a coffee to calm myself down - some twit tried to crash into me when I was leaving the hospital - not quite properly awake - but my car was where it should have been theirs going too fast - just aswell my mind is elsewhere.

Hope everyone else is having a better start to the day and hope your day gets better sexymouse!

Samphire - I agree with your suggestion for party food especially the juice our lot won't drink anything fizzy - I hate to think how much apple juice you would need for a party - dilute imho would be the best way to go. Mini sausage rolls might be an idea - I have yet to meet a child who doesn't like them...

StressedSteph - hope your OH is feeling a little less sore - sorry if tmi but you can get a umm gosh how to describe... it is like a net with a strap to help support his bits while they are sore/tender. If tight pants aren't doing the trick. Boots sell them.

OK most important job for me is to try and parcel up an item and book a courior forgot with everything else going on...

Kitchen doesn't look too bad :rotfl: (I wish!) although not setting the bar too high today - a ton of other stuff to do - need to get out the supermarket fuel up DH car, come home tidy bedroom, then will have a look at kitchen.

    Catch you all later.
  • But they would be way more expensive! Her hubby would get a discount on squash too i'm sure

  • Might get some more done later but baby woke up so have to sort him.

  • samphire have you thought about those calypso jugs as a go between as I think they are only about 10p each. Don't forget to factor in the cost of plastic cups if you want to do jugs.

Is it possible to try and compromise and cook some stuff and buy a few bits and pieces to try and please theme

    Morning everyone,

I was the first up today, so grabbed the PC quick to catch up on all the posts early! I am doing the main bedroom today, because I did the kitchen as usual on Monday. I may possibly do some of the extras on the list that I didn't do on Monday! The bedlinen is already in the wash. Very little to do in the way of cleaning, as still pristine from decorating, and nothing much can be put away as the wardrobes aren't finished. Knickers etc flung after Christmas when I cleared the room to decorate. Need to buy more clothes...I lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago, and still haven't afforded too many replacements! You can survive with one pair of jeans, half a dozen t-shirts and a jumper...

I have to do the weekly shopping today, and then I'm taking a selection of children over to the retail outlet - not sure if DS1 will want to come, he doesn't seem 100% and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that he's not heading for an 'episode' as he does have a cold, and illness seems to trigger them. I sent him to bed early yesterday, and am hoping that if he manages to sleep well, and have a very quiet day today, we may escape.

sexymouse - an argument we often have in our house, with 3 children to join in as well. I refuse point blank to go over budget, so if there are things that are missing - well tough! OH insists on having about five different cereals at a time - why?? I'm only going to buy 2 packets a week, and that's it! Very mean of you to hide the crunchy nut cornflakes tho ;)

I don't talk to anyone in the mornings, which saves a lot of arguments...

JillD - are you including in your diary something just for you every day? If it's down on the list, you have to do it! Even if it just says - '30 mins sit and do nothing' .

Must go shop - back later...

    Morning all

JillD - your toilet conversations made me laugh! During my last TOM DD2 asked if I had a sore bum:rotfl: , I was worried she was gonna tell everyone "mummy has a sore bum, she has got a bandage on it".

Samphire - Have to say DD1 cannot drink fruit shoots as they send her hypo! Have to say the parties DDs have gone to have always had sandwiches and the more traditional savory item as well as carrot and cucumber sticks and all the kids seem to eat them too. Could you not just put the savory stuff out first and then carry plates of cakes and biccies in:confused: . Difficult when your trying to fit in with other people but I would think fruit shoots would work out expensive.

Sexymouse - DH had a fit last night 'cos he went to the cupboard and the girls had eaten 4 packets of the crisps he brought home on Friday. He was like a little kid, "is this all you have left me, well thanks for nothing", he then didnt eat the ones that were left:confused: . Think he was just in a grump and was trying to pick a fight but I shouted back at him. No apology but he shut up;) .

Serena - Good news on the care front for you Mum. Bet your Dad is feeling lost not being able to visit bless him.

Michelle - Hope all is ok after your recent dizzy spell - try to remember "slowly slowly".

Guess i should crack on with it then.

    Need to do:

    Kitchen list
    Post parcel
    Send vouchers registered delivery
Check pool opening times (may take DD2 later as DD1 out at friends for tea)
    Washing
Ironing (didnt do any last night:o )
    Return DD2 report to nursery

Right will pop kettle on and some music and set the timer for half an hour.

You lot are very quiet today, you're not actually flying are you;) Will do my floor a bit later as its easier without a small child running about. Need to remember to buy a newspaper so i can clean out my stinky birds as i forgot to do it yesterday. Will also phone docs for LO's test results, see if they can tell me why she's had nearly 4 weeks of diarrhoea:eek:
