Got a dilema. Lady next door mentioned about me doing waitressing for their catering company, said think about it and let her know. Spoke to hubbie but sometimes would not get home till gone midnight and with kids broken sleep patterens plus my working weekends both said didnt see it working. Well she stopped me on the school run today and said are you ok for Friday then? I'm thinking, helping us out at the working mens club. Now she never mentioned a specific date and time when she first asked me but now I feel like I have to do it. Told her oh, you never mentioned a specific date will have to check with hubbie as I know he is out for work things till late a couple of nights this week. She is a lovely lady, her son now runs the company as she is retired. She is lovely to the girls and even got them advent calendars and xmas pressies. What should I do??? Dont even know what they want me to do, wear or how much they pay?

oh.. I've got 2 parcels gone astray.. and on of them is needed this coming weekend for a wedding.. argh.. I have proof of postage.. which I'd email a copy of.. IF I could find the charger for my camera!!! (I'd also list some more stuff if I could find the charger for my camera.. ggrrrrr)... I am really annoyed.. it is always the stuff people want for an occasion or right away.. it is so annoying!!!!
I am going to chuck a strop in the post office.. but I know the staff there won't have nicked it.. the sorting office people I'm not so certain about.. but why do they do it?? They cannot possibly lose a parcel.. I fail to see how it can be done.. I am really really annoyed.. now this buyer will be in a strop with me and I haven't done anything.. the post office have.. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!
I already have 3 claims in!!! so this will be another 2.. and I have another heap to post so how many of these won't arrive?!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen,
When did you post it? and have they checked their local sorting office?0 -
Can i ask a quick question?? Is the list the same every week?? I know the days aren't always the same but are the tasks always the same??
The reason I ask is that I would love a definitive list that I can print out, laminate and put on the fridge so I can tick off as i go along. Sometimes if I turn the PC on i then consequently get very little done.....and I don't have too much free time with a 6 week old baby so when he is asleep i could do with doing my chores not farting about on here0 -
Thats rubbish pigpen, we have had so many problems with couriers, particularly parcel farce. Really puts me off selling stuff because of the hassle of actually getting it delivered! We arranged for parcel farce to pick up a large item, we waited in all day, phoned them at the end of the day and they said pick up wasnt guaranteed
very confused by that!
