What a brilliant way to start a day - just had an argument with OH as he swears that he put crisps on the shopping list, but it wasn't on there! He demanded to see the list, which of course had gone straight in the recycling, which was then duly emptied as soon as I got home yesterday, to which he said it was convenient! He then said that I hadn't got any cereal either, to which I told him to use his eyes, and pulled out a 750g box of honey nut cornflakes from the cupboard, and shouted at him to not accuse me of things I haven't done, and said that after our £160 food bill last month (only 2 of us), he had to choose between me paying half of the bills and all the food shopping and trying to make this a reasonable figure, or me not paying the bills! That shut him up! MEN!!!

Sorry for a rant! Must take out some of this frustration out on the kitchen now he's gone off to work.

Hope everyone else has had a much better morning.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thats a rubbish start to the morning! You reminded me of a similar 'discussion' i had with OH last night. He had misplaced one of his tools for work, which was apparently my fault:confused: Interestingly enough i found it, where he had left it, in a cupboard he had already looked in:rolleyes:

  • Morning all,

Crickey this thread moves fast, it's hard to keep up with it ;)

Well I managed a basic clean of the bathroom yesterday, did'nt get to do the floor or de-cobweb, but at least the bath, sink & toilet got a scrubbing. Hubby was home all day after having the SNIP  . Yikes. He is now acting like he is the only man to ever have it done and needing ALOT of sympathy  . MEN!!!!

He is home again today!, even though the Dr told him he only needed one day off, so I have him under my feet again, this should be a help with the kids, but it's NOT  :D . It's just like having a third child around!.

Aaargh - I hate kitchen cleaning days - Its the hardest room to clean and keep clean. Will try to do at least level two. My hob REALLY needs a clean. I keep putting the glass lid down and ignoring it and I have friends round to dinner Saturday and will die of embarrassment if they see my hob, so must get it sorted.

Hope all you FlyLadies are well this morning. Take care & Happy Flying xx

Yup, happens far too many times in my house, he moans if the house is untidy, yet complains when i move the stuff he leaves at his backside! He asks why i cant leave things where they are so he can find them:confused: Then the place would be untidy and you'd moan about that too:mad: Interestingly enough i have a solution, put things away properly, then (a) you would know where they are, and (b) i wouldnt have to spend half my day cleaning up your mess!!
    RANT OVER:D

  • Soapie - good idea re the telephone headset, I hadn't thought of that. Which one do you use?
    OK, some newbie questions...
... what does LO stand for?
.... what are stardrops? Will they clean slate? The slate on the floor and walls of my bathroom are a pig to clean.

I'm having dinner with two friends from my antenatal class from DS1, the kids are all 3 mid march so we're having a joint party for them. We've hired the bouncy castle at the leisure centre but we're doing our own food rather than pay them to provide it. We did the same last year, and made a load of sandwiches which were not eaten and had to be binned - we're thinking of not bothering this year and just doing cakes, little sausages and crisps. I've never been to a party where they did this, people always try to make out it's a proper tea even though the kids just eat junk. I make healthy food normally, but this is a party! What do you guys do? The other two want to buy in everything, though I'd rather make so I'm going to propose that I make the cake and mini muffins or fairy cakes and cheese straws, and they can buy in crisps, drinks (my suggestion of a jug of squash didn't go down well!!) sossies and other cakes and snacks as they see fit. Any good, easy and cheap kids party recipies out there? The kids involved will be 3.

    LO stands for Little One
Stardrops are an old style cleaning solution, it doesnt specifically mention slate on the bottle, but it will clean everything else so i imagine it would:confused:
