This course has dragged and although I love my dissertation subject but I need to leave it behind and get on with my life! 20,000 words of blood sweat and tears!Current debt: M&S £0(£2K) , Tesco £0 (£1.5K), Car loan 6K (paid off!) Anybody still working on their dissertation/thesis? I'm due to complete a write up of my pilot by the end of Feb and have lots of stats/analysis to do before then.
I'm also waiting for my last assignment back (submitted at the beginning of December, which is a very long time ago) which has me worried. I've just emailed department admin to ask where it is. I just hope it's not a fail/rewrite as I've too much to do just now.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -
Hope everyones dissertations are going ok. I have just been to get mine binded and have found a really good shop that did it for me. I used the Mail Boxes Etc. store in Bristol and they did a good job. They have others around the UK so if you are stuck for somewhere to get yours binded then give them a try.
Did anyone else out there choose Business ethics as their subject - I got half way through and really wish I had changed topic but thought it was too late to start again!
Good luck to everyone who has still got to hand theirs in

Hi all just like to say i loved reading your posts about dissertations ,has de-stressed me alittle to know others are in the same boat ,seem to be surrounded by those saying it easy (bet they are all at home bricking it lol)
Quick Question anyone doing Absence Management ? struggling to find relevant RECENT literature ,bar surveys .Have completed my lit review but could do with some padding out ????????0 -
I've got a 4000 word research paper which was supposed to be due in 2 weeks, now extended to 3 weeks as our supervisor has been off sick for ages and we've had very little direction then our feedback on a draft section we submitted was 10 days late back to us! The problem is the extension isn't worth anything as we'll start our next placement that week and I'm supposed to be moving house on the date its now due!
I'm a terrible procrastinator at the best of times so trying to finish it before placement is a struggle for me! I really need to stop reading MSE when I should be working!
It'll all be over in a few weeks and then it'll be on to placements and essays! More stress = )0 -

I finally finished it a week ago, felt shell shocked for ages but now am very happy! :jCurrent debt: M&S £0(£2K) , Tesco £0 (£1.5K), Car loan 6K (paid off!) Barclaycard £1.5K (interest free for 18 months)0 -
I've a day off work to study today and planning to score the questionnaires for my data analysis. It's not the most exciting task but okay once I get going. I think I'll alternate with making a detailed plan for the paper.
I'm still waiting for my last assignment (December submission) which apparently will be back to me next week. I'm still holding my breath as there could be amendments and I'm so busy at the moment.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -
Has anyone really struggled coming up with a dissertation question? I'm doing Applied Psychology degree and only have till March to come up with some ideas, I'm totally panicking because I have absolutly no clue what to do.0

My topic sort of came to me one day years before, I was lucky. But before deciding on that I came up with a list of things that interested me.
Try and make a list of topics you'd be interested in. Then have a look at any current literature (if there is any) and see how you could add to it. Of course you'll need to make it narrow enough, but a supervisor should be able to help with that.0
