Ahh, in I come to bask in the glory of having finally put the finishing touches to my 15,785 word dissertation. Today was a day of cosmetic alterations, inserting hanging indentations, emboldening headers and struggling to grasp Word's over-complicated 'Headers and Footers' feature. Alas, however, I have conquered the final year dissertation.

Also, dancingqueen_tr, your BSc in Management with a dissertation counting for 1/4 of your course sounds awfully familiar, as does the deadline. Why? Because I've just completed a dissertation towards exactly the same subject for exactly the same deadline for exactly the same mark. Best of luck with yours!

    I sure am!

Good luck with it. I'm incredibly lazy when it comes to these sorts of things and have really only thrashed this out in the past month. Fortunately I'd built up a wealth of research in November when I was actually enjoying the prospect of putting out 15,000 words on a subject of my choosing!

7,800 word... thats like half what my two dissertations were for my final year.

Did 15,000 words 3rd year and 14,800 for 4th year. Still i guess it varies course to course.

Ouch neas - and I made such a fuss over my measly 5000 words!

(Not really - I was pleasantly surprised that it was under 10,000! I don't envy you lot that had to do 'proper' dissertations!)

Well done to everyone who's finished.
I'm panicking a bit now. I've just finished my first draft for chapter 3 and am very excited. But I'm only on 29368 words out of 60000. I have to have it all finished by next thursday which means I need to do about 4000 words per day!
