Dissertation motivation!

Woohoo, I've just had my dissertation bound!

It looks so pretty! Now I've just got to do my presentation on Monday (does anyone else have to give a talk on their dissertation? scary :eek:) and I'll be done!

Yeah, i do but thats because mine was work based and its not till may so i havent even started worrying about it yet!

Congrats, it feels so great seeing it bound and knowing that's you completed it definitely. Yeah, I need to do a presentation on it aswell, i believe they call it a Viva Voce. Mine is actually worth a healthy chunk of the overall dissertation module. Apparently they'll mainly just ask you about your bibliography (at my uni anyway)

Currently doing my PGCE - PCE and in teaching placement at an FE college as well. Then I start my Masters in Tourism Destination Administration in September. Finished my Degree last year.

Cor, that sounds hardcore! I take my hat off to anyone doing a masters.

Im struggling to finish my low core degree! I have till december to finish my dissertation, but i finish college on the 9th may. Dont know how much i have left in the tank to finish my assignments and exams, let alone my dissertation! Good luck with your course!

Don't panic ames, you'll get it done, it's always easier to work under pressure because you CAN'T procrastinate.

I've just submitted mine, such a relief! Although I nearly had a heart attack the other day because I put it through Turnitin (plagiarism checking software) and it came out as 33% plagiarised!! :eek: It's ok though because after getting over the shock, I checked to see what it was saying was plagiarised and it had counted my entire bibliography as plagiarism :rolleyes: Obviously the bibliography's the same as the original papers, that's the point!! Stupid software!

Hey, what is the PGCE - PCE like?? What funding can you get etc and whats the prospects looking like now?

I am in same situation as you but have flipped it over and done my Masters first then starting that course in September, after my interview process in May!

I also do BMS (3rd year our of 4 at the moment) and I loved the oncogenes stuff. Could never get my head around the statistics stuff though, poisson distribution just makes me think of fish
