    Saturday 23rd february

Hi well I am getting organised I have just submitted my papers to the court on line got three copys of them all and have got all the relavent documents that I need to take with me to court.
Do I have to sign and date the documents before I go to court or when I get there in front of the clerk ?

Monday is the day I phone the court for the date, getting a bit jittery now.

Do it when you get to court.

All the best on the 7th at least it's not to long a wait. You will be fine I am sure.

  • Hello Hev,
Im new to this site too and just want to say "good luck". I was absolutely petrified when I first realised ( thanks to CCCS and National Debtline) BR was my only option. Coming on this forum has answered just about every question I could think of and really dispelled some of the myths you hear about BR. "Well meaning" friends had warned me that the judge would be an ogre, I could get prosecuted by creditors for being bad with money and that baillifs would come and strip the house- and I know now thats thats all total RUBBISH!! and I feel much more calm.
You seem very organised and prepared so all the best for the 7th March. I know Ill be nervous on my court date too - but all the experiences Ive read about on here seem to have been ok.
  • Hi Dodecanese thanks for the suport, I dont seem too bad now everyone on here has given me help and suport which I am very grateful for. If it wasnt for this forum I dread to think of the out come (probably sectioned under the mental health act). My thoughts on BR was much the same as you but I do feel a lot calmer now.Once this is over and the inquest into my husbands death is over I will be able to start with a clean slate.

    Hi
Well tomorrow is my day in court (10 am ) and I fell ok about it and that is thanks to you all for your kind words. Actually I cant wait then I can get on with things. I keep getting phone calls from the debt collection agency (cant think of there name) anyway I know it's them and I dont answer the phone so after tomorrow I will be looking forward to there phone call so I can quite smugly tell them I am BR. Will tell you all about the court tomorrow.
Once again thanks to you all

The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
