I wouldn't worry about their threat to take legal action. Bankruptcy trumps anything they could do in the time they've got.

Tomorrow I have to phone the C.A.B. to get appointment to sort out the bankruptsy.

I owe my Egg card £10132.48 and my Argos card is about £1300.
Egg accepted £1 a month for the next six months and they have cashed my first payment.

OH MY GOD just opened the post and a letter from COLLECT DIRECT (UK)
saying they are acting for Egg and they want the full amount £10132.48 with in 72 hours or they will be taking legal action.
When I phone the C.A.B. tomorrow I will tell them about this letter. Don't panic about this as you will be BR before they can do anything and BR will trump anything they can do. I have one creditor been thretening me with this for a year.

I dont know you take one step forward and two back.
I feel rearly depressed now had to take a pill!

Will let you know how I get on tomorrow after speaking to the C.A.B.

We get two water bills one clean and one waste. Dont have insurance only on the dog. the other things like hair and holidays and birthdays I will add to my list thanks.:T

Ah! I see I keep forgetting some get theirs like this.

I would look at getting some contents insurance asap. Click on the appropriate taab at the top of the page and check out Martin's article. You never know when you might need it.

Best of luck Hev.. I can also say that bankruptcy is no-where near as bad as I had ever imagined! It's been 2.5 months and nothing has changed much.. well, apart from the lack of phone calls and letter, and the fact that I am much happier!

Hi Hev, Don't worry about letter from Collect Direct, i had one the same last week, a week after my bankruptcy, i also had a phone call this morning from them asking why i hadn't responded to the letter, i just told them i was declaired bankrupt and give them the number that was on the bankruptcy petition and they just asked for a copy of the petition, i told them i would get my o.r to send them one, once they knew i was bankrupt they just said goodbye, they now know they can't speak to me anymore with regards to the debt, (mine debt was also fron Egg) i'm leaving that to the o.r thats what they get paid for.
